Escape Excursions Escape Excursions is an Apostle Island private boat tour company. We power boat to islands and then patrons can get into Kayaks to explore the outer edges.

Devils island the furthest island out and has the most dramatic sea caves of the whole area. Paddle North kayaks are used for exploring outer edges of the islands after we powered boat to get there. Paddlenorth.com

Lake Superior Podcast, I’ve been listening to this for the past year to learn more about the history of lake superior to share with my customers, so when I got a phone call from a lady named Frida I recognized her voice immediately my eyes popped out of my head, my mouth dropped to the floor in astonishment that she was booking me for a trip at the Apostle Islands! I took her and two other ladies out to Stockton Island, where they would begin their seven day journey paddling at the Apostle Islands, I fell in love with all the ladies immediately and will be watching for them as I do other tours throughout the week, hoping to connect up with them and take a picture of them crossing between islands. Some people call this a job, I call it a lifestyle.

Memories of waterfalls coming off the islands after a big rain, people kayaking, Devils island sea caves for the first time, and hiking through lush green forest on an inhabited islands! Thank you to our national Park services for preserving this for generations of families getting to see these beautiful islands as the first humans in the area might’ve seen them thousands of years ago! Levels are a little low at Stockton Island on beautiful Lake superior.

Just out scouting the area before my first trips of the season, the water level is down considerably this year. Not only little snowfall in the area, but with the lake, not freezing up as much the sun evaporates a lot of water, it’s such a big lake that that can have a big impact on the water levels! Oh well, more beach isn’t such a bad thing!🥳 Bayfield and the Apostle Islands Apostle Islands National Lakeshore

Stockton Island has so much to offer, beautiful beaches, great hiking, and even ship wrecks. Stockton also has 2 separate dock areas, to camp here at camp #19 you would go to Presque Isle Bay dock.
