If you're planning to visit Walt Disney World in November and December, attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is highly recommended. This event requires separate ticketing from regular park admission, and it's essential to secure your event tickets well in advance. As soon as the details become available, I will post the dates, as this event consistently sells out every year. Next summer, I will provide an interest form for those interested in attending, and if you've already booked your 2025 holiday accommodations, you'll be on my list to receive early details and assistance with purchasing tickets before they go on sale to the general public.

Did you know when at Walt Disney World and don’t have a park day but still want to see Magic Kingdom castle 🏰 fireworks 🎇, you can see them from Disney Polynesian Resort. Yesterday was a non park day for us, and we wanted to see fireworks, we took the shuttle over to the Polynesian, and found some chairs in the “beach” area, and had a show for free!
Try it out the next time you’re visiting!

Here are five details you need to find in Toy Story Land the next time you visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.

Andy’s Footprint:
To find our first hidden detail, you need to look down. That’s right, take a look at the ground and you’ll find Andy’s footprint right in front of you. Since you’ve become a toy here in Andy’s backyard, it’s only natural that Andy’s footprint would be giant. But what size is Andy’s shoe? It’s 25 feet long, which is around a size 240 shoe. That’s a big shoe!
Where can you find this giant footprint? As soon as you enter Toy Story Land and head towards Slinky Dog Dash, you’ll see the outline of a giant footprint on the ground. Don’t forget, the next time you see the Green Army Men walking around, see how many steps it takes for them to get through Andy’s shoe.

Buster’s Collar:
Our next detail is for all of our fans of Slinky Dog Dash riders. When you enter the queue, be sure to look up at the “Stand By Entrance” sign. The “Stand By Entrance” sign features Buster’s collar. Buster is Andy’s pet dachshund. But that’s not the only detail you can find on the collar!
Take a look at the back of it and you will see the address of Andy’s Backyard, 234 Elm Street. This address is the new house in which Andy lives, not his old, original house from the first movie.

Pizza Planet Robot Guards:
Andy’s favorite game from Pizza Planet has a home within Toy Story Land. That’s right, although you won’t find the beloved Pizza Planet in Toy Story Land, you will find Alien Swirling Saucers and some nods to the iconic pizza joint.
When approaching the entrance of Alien Swirling Saucers, be sure to see who is currently guarding this intergalactic experience. On either side of the queue, you will find the Robot Guards complete with pizza pie shields and pizza-shaped weapons. You might be wondering where you’ve seen them before. You can spot them in Toy Story, where they also guard the Pizza Planet restaurant. Just imagine them saying, “You are clear to enter. Welcome to Pizza Planet.”

A113:
This is quite an interesting detail and something to keep an eye on when walking through Toy Story Land. Found in all of the Pixar movies is the Easter Egg of A113. A113 is a call out to the classroom at the California Institute of Arts. This classroom was one that many of the Pixar greats attended, so it’s found its way into the films…and Toy Story Land.
So where can you find these nods to A113 in Toy Story Land? There are actually quite a few places where you can find these if you keep your eyes open. First, in the queue of Alien Swirling Saucers, you’ll find Airlock Alpha has a Bay 1 and a Bay 13. There’s your A113. Another spot where you can find them is over by Woody’s Lunchbox. You’ll see some dominos and blocks that actually spell out A113 in two different ways depending on how you look.

UPC Barcode:
We’re in a land made of toys after all so you are bound to come in contact with some UPC Codes. But, these aren’t UPC codes for something you’ll buy. One of these UPC Codes is actually used as a subtle way to honor Pixar Animation.
The first UPC Code with a hidden meaning you’ll find is at the very end of Slinky Dog Dash. As you’re being serenaded by Wheezy, look up at the Dash & Dodge Mega Coaster Kit. To the left, you’ll spy a UPC code filled with a barcode. This barcode refers to the date that Pixar Animation was founded and the date that Magic Kingdom Park was opened. Underneath it also says “Made in Emeryville, CA,” which is where Pixar Studios is located.
The other barcode doesn’t have a secret meaning but it’s fun to see these packaging items put together to form the land. You can find another barcode on the side of the Toy Story Mania queue.

💫 UNPOPULAR TRAVEL TREND: WALT DISNEY WORLD EDITION 💫

Skip Magic Kingdom on the first day of your Walt Disney World vacation 🏰 (Trust me!)

Instead…try scheduling ANIMAL KINGDOM 🦒 🦓 🌳 as the first park you visit!

HERE’S WHY:

Most families want to head straight for the castle that first day of their big Disney vacation. I disagree. It’s the biggest, most overwhelming and overstimulating park of them all, with the MOST attractions, which means it can also be the most stressful on that first park day.

That first park day of your Disney vacation is one giant learning curve (no matter how much we’ve planned and prepped, it’s just a lot to take in!) and Magic Kingdom is the last park you want to “learn” in.

Insert: Animal Kingdom 🦒 🦓 🌳

The most laid back of the 4 parks, with the fewest amount of attractions which means it’s a great park to “practice” on that first day.

Practice getting on the bus, scanning into the park, scanning into your Lightning Lane attractions, mobile ordering lunch, figuring out which shoes are the most comfortable, packing your park bag - all of these are key factors that can either stress you out in an overwhelming park, or, you can learn how to manage it all in a park that is less confusing, less stressful and well, overall more manageable.

(Bonus: it’s also *usually* the least crowded of them all!)

Planning Disney vacations for myself has been my expertise for 17 years and as a travel agent for almost 3 years and this is one of the BIGGEST tips I tell all of my clients when I start helping them map out their park days. ✨ This small tip alone will set you up for success!
