April 1st and a new month to continue applying the word readiness which is my word of the year…no fooling! 😉

💐April is a busy, busy month at work so I need to be ready physically, mentally, and emotionally.
💐I must find the time and be ready to finalize summer travel plans and take advantage of last minute deals.
💐I plan to be ready for a new goal with my travel advisor work. I want to catch up on the trainings I have missed and use that information in social media posts once a week.
💐And finally, I will be ready for some self-care and celebrations this month. 😊🎉😊

Travel tip Tuesday! As much as we want to disconnect during a trip or vacation, the reality is that our cameras, compasses, and maps are usually on our phones or other communication devices. When traveling with family or friends, we all need to charge our devices. A power strip will help to make sure we don’t blow a room fuse and it’s a space saver in our rooms. Dear Spring Break,

Thank you for bringing warmer temperatures and sunnier days. However, I don’t like that you are ending for another year. There is still so much to do and so much sleep to catch up on. While I plan to enjoy this last day before work again on Monday, I will just keep dreaming of where my next plane trip will take me.

Most of us have a stash of coins that we save for the drive-thru or take to the bank. I have a client who recently booked a Disney Alaska Cruise for June 2026. Her deposit was put down at the time of booking and now her and her family will be saving their coins and will pay off their trip monthly for the next 10 or so months. I share this for many reasons. (1) Don’t let the final price scare you from taking the trip. For this family, this will be their first cruise and some pretty major birthdays will be happening around cruise time. What a way to celebrate! (2) Book early to get the dates you want and the location you want and the chance to pay off the trip in smaller chunks. Yes, June 2026 seems a long way off but it will be here before they know it. And (3) don’t stress trying to do it all. That’s what I am here for and I can’t wait to share in the excitement with this family for the next year or so as they prepare to cruise.

Road trip Sunday and I’m heading back home and then work for a week and then Spring Break. There are a few wildflowers popping up on the drive back. Mainly Indian Paintbrushes and Bluebonnets are blooming along the sides of the highway. It’s one of my favorite times of the year. What are some of your favorite wildflowers?

Yesterday was National Plan a Solo Trip Day! I love to travel, whether it’s by myself, with family, or with friends. For me, traveling solo is relaxing and challenging in a good way! Choosing where and when and what I want to do and travel to is exciting. Meeting new people, trying new things and foods, and embracing a culture makes the challenges all worth it. My first solo adventure was my senior year in college. I was an exchange student in England and on the weekends I would get on a train, see where it took me and find a B&B to spend the weekend. I got to see the country and have experiences that were outside the norm. My last solo trip was almost a year ago to Walt Disney World. Last week, I traveled to New Orleans for a few days for a conference. It’s the type of trip where it’s heavy on business time and some free time for fun. This time the fun was mostly eating. It’s been about 15 years or so since I visited the city. This trip was just enough to make me want to go back for more fun and less business. What is your favorite fun thing to do when you are traveling for business?

Happy birthday dad! Time has flown by and stood still in the four years since you passed away, but today I choose to celebrate you! I thought I would share what would make you smile, or cringe, during this birthday month. You would do that little snicker laugh that your grandkids are all taller than mom and me and then laugh out loud when Claire calls her, mom, and me the step ladder with her as the tallest step. 🤣 You would be proud of all of us keeping on living and helping each other. 😊 You would want to know all about my conference trip this week. ✈️ You would absolutely despise the weather this week.🥶 You would enjoy all the greetings and messages people would send your way for your birthday even though you were not a big fan of your birthday.🎉 So, happy birthday to you and know you are missed and loved every day! 💗

2024 was another fabulous year of travel for me. Trips were taken for work and for fun. Let’s review: ⭐️Frisco, TX for a conference. Love the glass sculptures throughout the hotel. ⭐️Trip one of two for the year to Corpus Christi, TX for work. This was in March right before Spring Break. ⭐️Orlando, Florida-this was a combined trip for fun and work. First the fun and a few solo travel days to Walt Disney World Resort. ⭐️Then switched to the work part and stayed at the Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center. ⭐️Another work trip to Round Rock, TX…just outside of Austin. It was a really nice stay At Kalahari Resort and Convention Center. ⭐️Trip two to Corpus Christi for work. This is the monument dedicated to Selena. ⭐️Vacation time - mom and I joined a Globus tour to the Maritimes of Eastern Canada. It was such a great trip made even better since I went with my mom. ⭐️One last trip for work for the year, this time to Odessa, TX. ⭐️Last vacation of the year was back to Walt Disney World Resort with just my oldest niece right before Thanksgiving. A great trip with an even better teenager! Core memories made here.
