Let’s talk about eats and treats while at Walt Disney World! For our upcoming trip, my niece and I plan to live in the moment and eat and snack as we want. We both can make meals out of snacks and like to snack throughout the day. I’m looking forward to the holiday treats and Mickey waffles. What eats and treats do you recommend?

Two weeks from today I will be back in one of the Disney parks! So excited! My niece and I will also be attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Double the excitement. We know it will be busy but it will be the best time to be together in a place we love. I’ll be sharing details of other plans for these couple of days over the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

TGIF! Am I looking forward to Magic Kingdom fireworks in a few weeks? Absolutely! There are so many vantage points to watching the fireworks show. The one in the picture is from the balcony of our room when my mom and I stayed at The Contemporary Resort. What is your favorite or most unusual vantage point to watch Magic Kingdom fireworks?

My niece and I are just days away from our Walt Disney World Resort trip! Oh the memories we will make! 💗 One set of memories to be made will be attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Yes, we will be partying before Thanksgiving, but how thankful am I to have this opportunity to take this trip and spend time and make memories with my niece. Here are a few highlights of the event to look forward to:
🎄Once Upon a Time Christmas Parade
🎄Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show
🎄Character greetings, sweet treats, and photo spots
🎄Event themed merchandise
🎄Cinderella’s Castle turning into a Frozen Wonderland
🎄Extended evening hours at Magic Kingdom since this is a special ticketed event in addition to a park entrance ticket
🎄Snow on Main Street - my personal favorite as you exit the park at the end of the night.

I haven’t been to Magic Kingdom at Christmas since 2014, as referenced in the attached pictures! This will be something to look forward to in the coming days!

Happy Halloween 🎃 Time to share…what is your favorite Halloween treat? What do you like to give out to trick-or-treaters? What Halloween treats can you do without? Me? I prefer M&M snack size bags. I’m giving out pretzels this year at work. And I really don’t like candy with nuts in it. Stay safe today!

Are you a fan of Charles M. Schulz and the Peanuts comic strips? Do you look forward to the Charlie Brown Halloween special? Did you know there is a Charles M. Schulz museum in Santa Rosa, CA? The museum explores the career of Schulz, celebrates the characters in his comics, and reviews the art work of cartoons and cartoonists. Santa Rosa is north of San Francisco. Would you take a trip to visit this museum?

Today is World Mental Health Day. Every day is a good day to remind us to take care of ourselves mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I take a lot of pictures when I travel because I want to remember the places I’ve been and the feelings I experienced wherever I was at. I scrolled back on my phone to 2016 and a trip with my parents to California and Joshua Tree National Park. I just remember being in awe of the trees, rocks, animals and insects, and the desert atmosphere. Pictures of travels bring me joy and help me mentally escape for a few minutes during the stresses of work and life. I hope you take care of you each and every day!

Random travel tidbit on this Tuesday… do you ever travel to places that includes your name? For example, there is a town in France called Nancy. It’s on my bucket list of places to go. This summer, we passed by MacKenzie River in Canada. That is the true, Scottish way my ancestors spelled my last name. Where do you want to go that also includes your name?

Day one of the Odessa College Leadership Institute was a success. Learned lots and even better conversations and answers to questions. One more half day and then the drive home! Pictures include scenes from general session speakers, Stanley cup giveaways, and art from around the hotel.

Made it to Odessa! Staying at the beautiful Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. Also, we will go on a scavenger hunt for jackrabbit statues tomorrow after our meetings. Stay tuned for that!
