A lot of snow in the past few weeks! The snowmobilers have been loving the Milking Parlor. I keep a large area plowed for trailer parking and they can ride their machines right into Willow Creek and then back without having to move trailers or fight for parking space at the Willow Creek parking area.

Winter is progressing in pretty normal
Wyoming fashion! Maybe three feet of snow out there. I can always look out and see if the net poles on the pickleball
court are showing. They are, just barely.
We have moved away from Evolve as our management company and now are

Winter is slowly loosening its grip from what has been a record breaking snowfall. Just ten days ago the snow was right at the top of the fence posts and the pickleball court was nowhere to be seen.
The last week though we’ve had temps in the 60’s and even low 70’s once or twice and the melt off has been quick.
Turnerville is a special corner of Star Valley, right up beside the Bridger mountains. As a result we manage to get more snow than almost anywhere else in the valley, so we’re also the last to melt off.
Here are some pics showing where we are today with the snow. The second pic shows the pickleball court, you can see the net posts but the court itself still has about four inches of snow. That will be gone in a few days. I’ll install the net and we’ll be ready for play within the week. I also added a couple of pics of Grand Teton National Park from recent days biking there.
We earn our summers around here and they pay off with spectacular weather, views, wildlife, hiking and biking. Can’t wait!

Made a drive up to Grand Teton National Park today. People often ask my wife and me how we deal with Wyoming winters. It’s hard to describe the beauty of this area in winter but perhaps these pictures will give you an idea of what it’s like. I was mostly scoping out put in and take out sites for my drift boat for later this spring, (I’m a fly fishing addict!), but totally taking in the raw beauty of Teton. The river shot is the Snake river just below the Jackson lake dam which I’m standing on top of. When the snow clears there is a boat ramp right there. The float is a relatively easy one down a lazy part of the river with those mountains along side you as you go.

It’s been a VERY snowy winter in Star Valley Wyoming! The snowmobilers are having an excellent season in Willow Creek just a block from the house. The Snowtel site at Willow Creek reports over 90” of snow and a water equivalent of 21.2” as of this morning. This is world class snow machining at its best. The pickleball court is gone, net posts and all buried!
