Although today marks the official beginning of fall, fall colors have already been appearing around Grandfather Mountain for weeks, especially at its highest elevations. But don't fret, the main event is still to come!

While there is no bad time to visit the park, fall presents a truly unique period as many of the plants and trees, such as the pumpkin-colored beech trees, blood-red sourwoods and rusty red oaks, burst with vibrant hues.

Dec 13-16 are the last days available in December! It's all decorated and ready for Christmas!! Come during the week when the slopes are slower!!
