Fall is on our minds! Lovely day of apple picking at Apple Hill Orchard in Morgantown! Highly recommend! Great apple cider donuts and cute little store! Excellent apple selection too! Fall picking season starts end of August!

We booked a wonderful ride with Dave with Roan Mountain Riding Company! We did the 1.5 hour tour and it was a great little ride! We are going to book another longer ride next time we are there! 828-260-0947

Went to a nearby town to try the Elk River Falls hike. It wasn’t too hard or long so it was easy for families. We loved it!

Wildlife presentation by Lees-McRae College at the Robbins Amphitheater in Banner Elk. Kids (and myself!) enjoyed it! Fridays at 1 pm.

We always visit Blowing Rock when we are in town. It has cute shops, good restaurants and an awesome playground. Memorial Park is the name of the playground, 1040 Main Street, Blowing Rock

Been thinking about food lately and giving people lots of recommendations while they are in Beech! One place that I tried for the first time not long ago was Williams Deli and Bakery located at 101 High Country Square #28, Banner Elk. Really great, large sandwiches!! Loved it for a lunch spot while down in Banner Elk!
