It has absolutely dumped snow in North Carolina’s high country today. Beech is the proud recipient of 14 inches. I repeat. FOURTEEN INCHES of snow at Beech Mountain. Sugar landed around 7 inches, and Beech is the recipient of 6 inches.

I was blessed to capture several great shots of the sunset on Beech Mtn. on Wednesday night and I think this one might be favorite. I just love that little pine draped in blue lights and the flocked trees beyond it. Such a perfect winter scene.

Today in Banner Elk NC we have been blessed with the most beautiful snow in years. Right now we probably have about 4 inches and it is still pouring down big beautiful flakes. I hiked around on our property and found this beautiful scene. Hoping to get out tomorrow to find more snow beauty!
