The Return of the Cows
In 2019, we entered a lease with McBride Angus Farms for them to run cows from April/May to October/November each year. It is a lot of fun to have the cows and sometimes we even have one born on the farm!

We have a flurry of hummingbirds visiting us! We’ve seen 10 or so at once, so a few nests must be nearby. 🌟 Did you know? 🌟1️⃣ Hummingbirds are the smallest birds in the world! Some species weigh less than a penny and measure just a few inches long. Talk about pint-sized powerhouses!2️⃣ These incredible birds are the only ones capable of flying backward! Their unique wing structure enables them to hover, dart, and even fly upside down. They're true aerial acrobats!3️⃣ Hummingbirds have an insane metabolism! They can flap their wings up to 80 times per second, which creates that iconic humming sound. No wonder they need to feed on nectar constantly!4️⃣ Speaking of nectar, hummingbirds are pollination superstars! As they sip nectar from flowers, they unintentionally transfer pollen from bloom to bloom, helping plants reproduce.
