WTF … 600 passengers including two of my clients stuck in a line to get from international arrivals to domestic connections with no bathroom access and no water and only two TSA agents who are busting their butts doing the best they can. My clients are already an hour into waiting and still can’t see the front of the line. And that’s after waiting on the plane to get to their gate because of flight delays. Get your act together!

Fascinating story about medical care onboard a cruise ship. It should give all cruisers comfort that professional medical care for a wide range of conditions, to include emergency care, is available when you cruise. It also underscores the importance of purchasing travel insurance, because your medical care on a cruise ship is generally not covered by most health insurance policies nor by Medicare. The medical staff and ship's Captain determine whether you are transferred to a medical facility at the next port, or airlifted off, which is almost always a 100K or higher bill, even when the US Coast Guard is responsible for the airlift.

Every cruise ship has a medical center. But how big is it and what does it do? Are the doctors general practitioners or is it more like the ER? And what happens if a passenger dies onboard?

I cleared the snow from my birdfeeder, then enjoyed an hour of multiple species sharing the feeder. The resident fox even paid a visit, resplendent in his winter coat. And then the starlings and red winged blackbirds moved in. Where is the Coopers Hawk when you need it? At least the birds kept Midas and Molly entertained for the morning.

Saint Nicholas day in Passaic Christmas market. Saint Nicholas and the Krampus cruising the market in search of the naughty and nice. Janet got a chocolate figurine from St. Nick so she must have been on the “nice” list.

Germany celebrates St. Nikolas Day on December 6th and we were fortunate to be in the Passau Christmas Market. In this tradition, St. Nikolas rewards children on the "nice" list with chocolate figurines. Children on the "naughty" list are punished by the Krampus...bad dude. We ran in to both St. Nikolas and the Krampus in Passau's Christmas Market, and Janet got a chocolate figurine from St. Nikolas. I guess that means she was on the "nice" list!
