Windows boarded and taped, boats pulled to shelter, cabanas down, umbrellas and lounge chairs sitting underwater in the pools…the staff here has done an incredible job of preparing the resort and us guests for Hurricane Beryl. All flights were booked several days ago so Janet and I will be riding it out. Fortunately we had already planned to head to the north side of Jamaica earlier today so we are as safe as we can be. We should avoid the worst of it and can then get on with celebrating our 40th anniversary in the same resort we spent our honeymoon.
