Please Welcome Our Newest Member, Red Kettle Foods LLC!

Naturally fermented in Belfast, Maine, their kimchi and pickles bring fresh Maine ingredients and time-honored Asian fermentation traditions together in a delicious blend of sour, sweet, spice, and umami. Each of their ferments are hand made in small batches, seasoned with Maine sea salt, and slow-fermented to tasty perfection.

Ger Liang Tysk is the chef, owner, and creative force behind the delicious Red Kettle Kimchi! She is a first-generation Asian-American dedicated to showcasing the humble ingredients that define East Asian cuisine – Chinese, Japanese, and Korean food – and to celebrate culture, community, and family.

You can also join Ger for hands-on learning at beautiful locations around Maine! She'll guide you to make your own kimchi, dumplings, and other delicious Asian dishes from start to finish – and then you get to take it home after class!

Please Welcome Our Newest Member, The Clifford Arts & Student Center!

The Clifford Arts and Student Center (“The Cliff”) was opened as the Unity Performing Arts Center in 2000, in a renovated 18th Century barn and attached farmhouse, featuring a 200 person theater in the former barn. Until 2020, the UCPA was a hub for performing and visual arts. The space has become a hub for a vibrant rural community, and was gifted to Unity College in 2007. With Covid in 2020, the College shuttered the performing arts center and it remained that way until February 2024, when it was generously donated to the Ecology Learning Center, a place-based, alternative public charter school in Unity. The Ecology Learning Center is striving to once again make the Cliff a gathering place and community hub, presenting powerful shows and performances from local and visiting artists.

Don't miss the closing weekend of their current student production of 'If A Tree Falls,' a musical theater production entirely written, directed and performed by high school students. An environmental fable, reminiscent of Romeo & Juliet ~ with lumberjacks & nymphs, on Dec. 14 @ 7pm and Dec. 15 @ 2pm.

We are deeply saddened to learn about the closure of Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, an organization that has been a pillar of support for businesses and community growth in Camden and Rockland. With a historic high of 1,000 members, their contributions to the region and the state of Maine have been invaluable.

As neighbors, we understand the profound impact this will have not only on the businesses and community leaders they served but also on the spirit of collaboration and progress they fostered.

To the businesses and individuals affected, please know that the Belfast Area Chamber is here to support you in any way we can during this transition. Whether it’s connecting you with resources, offering a platform for collaboration, or simply lending a listening ear, we stand ready to help. We look forward to having more information in the near future.

The loss of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is a reminder of the challenges that Chambers and business organizations face in today’s world. But it also reaffirms the importance of partnerships and collective strength. Let us continue to work together to ensure that the vision of a thriving Maine business community lives on.

Our hearts go out to the staff, members, and communities of Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce. You have our deepest respect and gratitude for the incredible work you have done.
