3 Key Agencies at tonights November Meeting💥💥💥

The November meeting is the final BHPOA General meeting of 2024… and we are finishing strong. Three key agencies will present:

NYC Department OF Transportation (DOT)
NYC Department OF Environmental Protection (DEP)
Queens District Attorney’s Office
The DOT is responsible for road conditions and traffic flow. The DEP can address the flooding we've experienced on bay blocks. The DA’s office will address how we can keep our homes safe during the winter – especially if we take long vacations or “Snowbird.”

Don't Miss Our November Meeting!

You may have heard rumors in the neighborhood or online of a squatter situation on Beach 141 Street. This is a real and somewhat complicated issue. The NYPD, DA Melinda Katz, and Councilwoman Joann Ariola are involved and we are pushing for a quick and just resolution. In the meantime, support your neighbors as good people in Belle Harbor do. Avoid interacting with the people in that house. We will provide an update soon.

TONIGHT!

Last Local Chance to Say NO to City of Yes

On Tuesday night, Community Board 14 will vote on City of Yes - Housing Opportunity. While it is highly likely CB14 will vote NO, it is important that the community as a whole make a loud and clear statement. Just by showing up in great numbers, we can let our City Council members know where Rockaway stands. The City Council will have the final say this fall.
Please attend the CB14 meeting. Sign up to speak, if you are so moved. Or just be part of a very full crowd that show supports for citizens who testify.

When: Tuesday, June 11, 7:00 p.m.
Where: Knights of Columbus on Beach 90th Street
