well i will tell anyone looking for a tank to keep you safe, get a Suzuki XL7. This little beast has pulled out big ass Dodge dually trucks, has got so many people out of ditches and snowdrifts and has never given us a bad time. I think in 8 years the only money spent on her was maybe new tires. The Mighty Zuke she was called to all our crews.. Then a big ass dodge tow truck on his phone couldnt stop in time and slammed into my back end. She STILL drove me home. But she will have to have some TLC to get back to work. She is a tank for sure! Highly recommend. I am ok... Whiplash they say so lots of ice and meds.

Well we are on the road again!!! no more itchy feet! We are headed to the grandsons 1st birthday in Georgia and hopefully catch a van gathering for the eclipse on our way back! We are also hoping to bring the blue beast home to the farm finally! Wish us luck!

Had a bit of time and nice weather over the weekend to work on the vans collision repairs. Another day or so and should be back out working. Amazes me how little damage it takes to total out vehicles now days. Back when i had the body shop this would have been just a nice easy insurance repair rather then a totaled loss.

Now this is how we ended our day. Hotel el Rancho for supper. What a great place. Built in 1936 on the historic Route 66, it was a common place for movie stars of the day to stay. Well worth the stop and tour

Started our day out at Window Rock Tribal Park. It is a commentator park for warriors lost in battle. There was also a memorial to the Navajo code talkers. Interesting place

Been home a little over 2 weeks and the gypsy soul began screaming. So spent some much needed nana time with river and much needed mom time with my boys and their sweeties and were headed to New Mexico :)

Today we visited the London Bridge. It used to cross the Thames River in the City Of London The problem is it wasn't built for modern traffic .It was falling into the river an inch ever 8 years so they needed to built a more modern one. They sold the old one to an American tycoon, Robert McCulloch in 1968. He disassembled it and rebuilt it at Lake Havasu Arizona. The bricks had numbers on them to show the order they need to go back together. If you look closely in the pictures you can still see them. Now it's a major tourist attraction in the desert! For some reason fb doesn't allow pictures and videos posting together so I'll post videos next.

Well that's that. Our first Rubber Tramp Rendezvous and Skooliepalooza under our belt. It was such an amazing 2 weeks. 2 events with 2 completely different vibes. Both awesome. We met so many incredible people. Made a few crochet souvenirs for people. Toured ambulances for ideas for Dillon and Macy. Learned about glass blowing, honey making and leavened bread making. Joined more nomad groups and about more events across the country. Here are some of the highlights

Today's travel pic. We survived and healed from the dental surgery in Mexico so we're headed back to the ranch in Colorado. But slowly lol. We spent 2 days at the beach in San Diego and another 2 at Slab City California. Just. Wow. Odd place. Then here at the Salton Sea. Very pretty with the snow capped mountains in the background while sitting in a sun dress in the sand. Next... Quartzsite Az.

Well made it to the big ditch. Drove through snow flurries to get here so didn't see much of the ditch but got a great campsite for a couple nights and the sun is desperately trying to poke through. Also sharing the campground with some friends.

Such strange topography. We hiked 6 miles up and down hills. My street counter tells how many calories you burn but I'm SURE it means on flat surface!!!. Anyway. I'll post videos separately. It was very interesting. Tonight we boondock in the national forest outside Bryce Canyon. Then tomorrow we had to the Grand Canyon. One more week until back to work.
