A spectacular art installation composed of 1000 umbrellas in Moomin Valley Park, Japan.

Moomin Valley Park is a theme park about the Moomin characters created by Finnish author and artist Tove Jansson. The park opened in March 2019, about 25 miles northwest of Tokyo in Saitama Prefecture. The theme park is the first one outside of Finland and offers visitors a look into the world of the author and her creation.

Lop Buri, Thailand.

One of Thailand's oldest cities, Lop Buri developed during the Dvaravati period (6th to 10th centuries), when it was known as Lavo. The palaces and temples that remain today, in various states of decay, are from the subsequent Khmer and Ayuthaya empires. King Narai (r 1657–88) made Lopburi a second capital, hosting many foreign dignitaries.

Celebrate the Spring in Japan!

Cherry blossoms usually bloom in Japan between mid-March and early May. Japanese cherry blossom hotspots can be found in over 1,000 locations across the country, so choosing just one best place is tough.

There are numerous breathtaking spots to enjoy during this time. Himeji Castle in Hyogo Prefecture is a famous example, where the cherry blossoms provide a wonderful contrast with chalk-white castle towers – incidentally, this scenery takes #1 in TripAdvisor’s ranking. It is followed by Chidorigafuchi on #2 and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden on #3, both in Tokyo.

Agora Tower, Taipei, Taiwan
Agora Tower is a high-rise luxury residential building in the Xinyi District of Taipei, Taiwan. French architect Vincent Callebaut has a lot of big ideas, envisioning grand, visually spectacular architectural solutions to pressing problems like climate change. The building is covered in approximately 20,000 trees and shrubs, which is aimed to reduce the carbon footprint of Taipei by absorbing around 130 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.[
