I want to talk about something...Travel Advisors. Most people think Travel Advisors are not needed anymore because you can do your own travel planning online. Here are some facts you may not know.

1. If you do not book with me as your travel advisor, I legally cannot give advice on a trip I did not plan. I cannot be liable for something I did not schedule or book.

2. Did you know that when you book yourself through another source(Orbitz, Expedia, Bookit, Costco, etc) other than directly with a travel advisor, you are giving the commission back to that company? So, PLEASE help support a Small Business Owner, such as myself.

3. Booking with the above mentioned discounted sources also provides you ZERO support AND you are the one missing out on your vacation. You have to spend lots of personal time trying to resolve any issues you may have. Booking with a Travel Advisor removes that responsibility from you. You can be enjoying a Margarita 🍹 on the beach 🏖️ or enjoying family time while I sit in my office handling the issues.

4. Did you know that Travel Advisors get paid 100% Commission and do not receive that commission until 3-8 weeks AFTER you have returned from your trip? 🤔 So I don’t get paid if you don’t use me or if you cancel. 😢

5. Can you get a break on airfare? No, I cannot give you a break on airfare because I DO NOT get a break or commission from airfares. I also do not have special powers to make the airlines do what we want. 🦸🏼‍♀️

6. If you choose to use me, and I inform you that I require a Planning Fee to start the planning process, PLEASE do not get annoyed. I’m sure you can understand, I don't like to work for free, especially if work is done, quotes are provided and you decide to still book yourself.

So, please support your favorite Travel Advisor 🙋🏼‍♀️ and respect my time, knowledge and ability to handle your next getaway 🌍✈️ And you might even get some PERKS that Expedia won't give you 😉
