2021 treated The Lux really well! We had so many incredible guests stay from all over the country, offer a space for couples to celebrate their small weddings, baby showers, girls weekends, family reunions, etc! Snow is so rare in Central Texas. We are lucky to lightly see it once a year. This is the second time we’ve seen snow in the last month. Between the sunshine and the snow, it was an incredible sight to see!

I love what a fire pit brings to an atmosphere! It gives permission to relax, kick back, enjoy a beverage and a great conversation with friends! We loved seeing this part of the vision come to life! Since this photo was taken, we’ve added cafe lights that make it even more enjoyable!

The kitchen alone feels like a vacation! We love the simplicity of the wrought iron shelves. The vent-hood sets the tone for the room and validates the light mid-century feel for the room. Thank you, Tim for surprising us with such a cool focal-point. The designer and builder, chose a 6” quartz backsplash. They pointed out that there wasn’t a good stopping point for the backsplash. Genius! Again, we love the simplicity!

The windows, installed by bring in so much natural light that the lake house adopted her name, “The Lux”, meaning “to illuminate”. The Wrought iron shelves and railing at The Lux were custom built by . Erik is a true craftsman!

We’ve had 4 families book this week and hosted a precious couple the last few days. The Lux is being thoroughly cleaned and sterilized. If you need a staycation while you self-quarantine, we’d love to have you!
