If you were curious about the Fidget Friends, here's the current little family I have. Chickie, Bear, Ladybug, Positive Pickle, Kitty and Froggie. And here are the treasure box purses I was able to finish. I do have all four Harry Potter houses, but the Hufflepuff one decided to hide from me last night and didn't get finished.

There is something for absolutely everyone here. BBQ food truck, Marisol Aristizabal Hallows has bread (which I bought for breakfast) and her boys have lemonade, there's crochet, antiques, peanut brittle, pressed on-site hats, t-shirts, home canned goods, Cotton Duck has drip coffee at the market and is open for the fancy drinks in-store and that's just what I can see from my booth.

And we could not have asked for better weather. Just come hang out and have a good time!

This has been one frustrating weekend for me. I've wanted to throw a pity party for so many reasons. Then I think about everyone local who still doesn't have power. And everyone who lost all the food in their fridge. And then a little further away, but still "local," everyone in WNC who lost everything. It's a stupid helpless feeling...not knowing what to do and how to help.

And then it's market week. I want to do promo like I always to to ensure that all the vendors have a successful day. But doing promo seems so selfish in light of what others have lost. Especially when what my immediate family lost was just time and sanity.

But when I think that other vendors may be counting on a successful market to restock their fridge, or get an extra tank of gas, or pay to have brush removed I do still want to promo. And if you want to come see me, then that's a plus.

And the best way I figure I can help the relief effort is with a donation product. I'm going to be launching Fidget Friends this weekend, but before those, I wanted to make these. They are stuffed little Fidget Friends that you can leave as is, hang on your keys, hang on a bag with a hair tie, whatever you like. They are $2 and since they are made from material that was donated for mask making, the whole $2 will be going in to WNC relief aid, probably through a local airdrop operation. These will always be direct whole cost donations, but I think all Fidget Friends at this weekend's market will have a percentage of sales donated.

I know this is a long, bumbling post, but thanks for hanging in with me and come see me at Westy's Antiques and Vintage Heirlooms Fall Market on Saturday, Oct 12 at Chapman Park in West Pelzer 😊

Ok friends, there's less than 2 weeks until Westy's Antiques and Vintage Heirlooms Fall Market. I have a couple more embroidery projects to do, and then it's prep time.

I know that not many of us have a lot of disposable income right now (not here to discuss politics, so please don't go there 🙃). I'm considering only offering items for $20 or less, but I want to feel everybody out. I actually have a pretty good selection of things at this price point or below. Is that something that would catch your attention if you were a shopper or would you rather see the whole range of price points? Just looking for info from what you would like to see from others.

Picture of my new thread racks for attention. The rest of the studio is still a hot mess 🤣

Just 1 week until the awinter Wonderland Market in Williamston, SC! Williamston is my hometown and I'm excited to see everything that will happen next Sunday! I'm spending all day in the studio trying to crank out the last few products for next weekend.

Here goes more show promo! This one is still a work in progress...it needs a ribbon and hanger...but this is an ornament I wanted to do last year that just never happened 😅. Since we're coming right off of breast cancer awareness month and sliding right in to Christmas, I figured now was the right time. I can so other awareness ribbon colors as well, just let me know if there is something you would like. I love custom work!

Bitty Becky and I are spending this cool Saturday afternoon shopping for supplies for our next market! We have 29 days until our biggest (and this year probably only) Christmas Market at the Williamston Winter Wonderland on November 27. We're hoping to have a few new products and plenty of Christmas gifts and ornaments. Also, who doesn't love matching tie dye?

Happy Sunday afternoon friends! Irene and I are working on some monogramming for a couple of customers today. Just want to let you know that my cutoff date this year for custom orders/embroidery is NEXT SUNDAY December 12 unless we've otherwise made arrangements. I want to have enough time to enjoy my Christmas season, as well as keeping you from worrying whether your order will get done. After that date, feel free to message me to shop my stock (even though last weekend was a huge success, I still have lots to choose from) or for orders that can be finished after January 9. I hope y'all have a wonderful Christmas full of friends, family and laughter!

Y'all know I always have some sort of craft going through my head. I'm always trying to figure out what the next "big thing" is and what y'all will love. I've made a few of these ornaments in the past for ornament swaps and gifts. I've had a good deal of interest in them...both people wanting to purchase, and people wanting to know how they're done.

They're really pretty easy if you have some patience and a good thimble.

I've thought about putting together kits to DIY ornaments like these. (Which also means me doing a video tutorial and ALL Y'ALL hearing my Possum Kingdom/North Georgia hybrid accent.) Kits would probably be $8-10 USD each depending on my supply costs (I'm still working on that analysis now). Each kit would include the Styrofoam ball with pre-marked guide lines, pre-cut fabric squares, pins, ribbon and ornament hanger. All you would need to provide is glue and a thimble of some sort.

Is this something y'all are interested in? I'm hoping to be at a pretty big event in my hometown of Williamston, SC at the end of November where I would have both kits and ornaments available for purchase. Just let me know what you think!

(Also enjoy the pro-quality photos from my kids' Sesame Street table 🤣)

Yesterday was good for both Evan Becky the business and Evan Becky the mom. I ordered one of these stuffed border collies for part of my Pepper and Pirate display for this weekend. Amazon sent me two! So now one belongs to me while doing shows and each kiddo gets one when I'm not 😁

Also, these things are pretty realistic from the back in dim lighting. Let's just say I keep doing double takes.

Sometimes you need to carry snacks/cookies with you on walkies. So I've made a little pouch to carry those in! The outside is cotton with a cotton rope strap for easy carrying. The inside is water resistant rip-stop nylon. Machine washable and dry on low!

Pepper and Pirate has another new model! Meet Dixie! She's wearing a med/large collar with an accessory and custom embroidery.

Dixie is my cousin's GSD and an absolute beauty! She spends her free time at her kid's ball games pretending to be a lap dog 😁

The Pepper and Pirate mini brand has been brewing for a while. I did this sketch about a year ago.

Pepper was my beloved Border Collie who was practically my second sibling. She played with us, tattled on us, and even went on a few vacations with us. My childhood would not have been the same without her.

Pirate belonged to my parents before I was born and protected us well into my early childhood. We believe he was mostly giant schnauzer. Regardless of breed, he had a black beard that gave him his name.

They may not be humans, but dogs have profound impacts on our lives. I hope Pepper and Pirate will allow me to pour out some creativity that will allow you to spoil those beautiful souls that change our lives for the better!

Meet the newest (and only) Pepper and Pirate model, Gus the Boykin. Gus is my brother's beloved dog. He is modeling the med/large blue seersucker collar. He takes his fees in the form of product and tennis ball throws.

Gus's collar is taken nearly all the way in to fit him, but can be easily extended to fit larger dogs.

I wasn't as busy as I would hope this weekend, but I still got a lot done! These are light up safety tags for walking in the dark. They are made if shiny, reflective material too! Great for collars or even kids 😁 'cause we all know kids like light up stuff. I may make them a little smaller, still in the developing stage. But they still work!
