Blinds are brushed and impoundments are filling. The ducks are loving the Japanese Millet and Milo combination this year. It’s amazing to see how quickly this stuff jumped in less than 55 days. We pushed it absolutely as hard as we could with fertilizer after a disastrous corn planting followed by a 28 day drought. Duck Season 2024-2025 is ready to roll!!

We were able to squeeze a few hunts in this morning before the rain set in. Hoping for a clear forecast for the last weekend of the season next week. That would be the only weekend it hasn’t rained at some point, for the last six weeks. We have a spot open for a Good Friday hunt if anyone wants to sneak in before the season ends.

Seems like we saved the best for last! Our last Tower Hunt of the year was filled to the brim with some awesome shooters. Houston Hovis made some grown men and women shed a tear when he smoked the money bird. Nate and Dakota’s lasagna was a hit as always. Our schedule for next season’s tower hunts will be out soon, give us a shout to get your spots reserved!

Friday may have been a washout, but Saturday and Sunday were both beautiful days for some great upland hunts! Hunts like these wouldn’t be possible without our wonderful guides and their four legged helpers. We have a few weekend hunts available before the season ends at the end of March.

We’ve had some phenomenal upland hunts the past week or so. Nothing better than spending a morning watching the dogs work and anticipating the flush! Upland season lasts a few more weeks, give us a shout to get on the books before the warm weather sets in.

Packed house for our last duck hunt of the season. We look forward to the youth/vet hunt just as much as opening day each year. It’s uplifting to see the next generation take their first steps into becoming future outdoorsmen and women. To be able to say Thank You to our veterans on the same day is an added bonus. With this season being as fantastic as it was, it is definitely bittersweet to see it come to an end.

Couldn’t have ended an awesome season any better! Ducks 23-24 came to an end in spectacular fashion. From beginning to end it was one of the best season’s we’ve had in our 16years of hunting ducks. Still a little locked up with ice in the impoundments this morning, but at least the rain held off. Funny how this late in the year you can still have one of the best duck hunts of the season. Shows what a little cold weather and great hunters can do!

The birds didn’t get the memo it was too cold to be out and about this morning. It was a dizzy morning from a packed house duck hunting to a full slate of upland hunts, including a tower hunt. A lot of work goes into a day like today that most people never see. Special thanks to everyone who pitched in and made today memorable for our customers!

Huge News, it rained again. The weather man had us at a near zero percent chance of rain yesterday evening. Despite the cold wet morning we had some awesome hunts! We even had one duck with a little extra jewelry on it 💍 Special thanks to all our dedicated guides for pushing through the sloppy wet weather we’ve been having!!
