Amy and Bruce joined me for the day in the snobear and the fish bit well for them all day! Crappies and bluegills mixed with a few bass and pike roaming amongst them. I have open dates next week if you want to get out and chase some fish! -Matt

Today was our last open water guide trip for the season! Cliff and Cherry finished it off with a great trip on Lake Bemidji. We got super lucky with the weather and the bite was great! We want to thank all of you that fished with us this year and hope to see many new and familiar faces this winter and next spring!

The Crutchet’s joined me on Lake Bemidji and we had a fun evening catching walleyes! Tyler is coming to play football at BSU and was here for camp. They wanted to know what the lake was all about and I had a great time showing them! They caught some fish to bring home and we let a few bigger ones go back! Will and I both have open dates and the bite still been really good!

Will and I had a great time with Dave and his family! We fished Lake Bemidji and ended up catching lots of nice eater sized walleyes and threw a few nice ones back! The bite remains really good in our area and we expect it to stay that way for awhile! If you are looking to get out fishing both of us have week day and weekend dates open!

Holly, Landon and Cruze joined me for the afternoon on Cass Lake today. Cruze had never caught a walleye before and his very first one was just under 27”! Landon and Holly also caught some nice ones and they had plenty to bring home for dinner! Thanks for joining me in the boat!

The panfish bite is starting to get pretty good in the Bemidji Area right now! The water has warmed up and has them biting! We hope you all had a safe and successful winter doing the activities that the weather allowed on such an odd year! The ice is starting to melt fairly well now in the Bemidji Area and we except most of our lakes to be completely ice free in the next week or so!

Will Annette and I are excited to get the boats out on the lake! We are going to have a few weeks of open water before the walleye season kicks off. We will be offering some guide trips for crappies and perch before our walleye opener in only 39 days!
