Fishing has been pretty good last few weeks!
Walleye - 6-10 ft off the shorelines jig n minnow or spinners n leeches/crawlers. Lots of fish along the tops of the bars 15-23 ft using bobbers/leeches or jigs n crawlers also doesn’t hurt to try that 30-37 ft depth.
Perch have been really scattered finding in 5-10ft or 28-35 ft.
Northern- have been mixed in a lot with the walleyes so be prepared to loose a few jigs!

🎇4th of July🎆 is coming up quick!! We ask that no children under the age of 16 drive golf carts/ATV/UTV’s around the resort during busy holiday dates. Which will be June 29- July 6th. Thank you for understanding!

It will be beautiful weather to hole hop and spend the weekend outside! ☀️🎣 travel is great for atvs/side by sides. 14-15 in of ice. The black line on the map is the heave that’s located around the point, be very cautious if crossing with a machine.

Current ice report 1-26-24
We have 14-15 inches of ice . We will only be letting out 1/2 ton trucks without wheel houses or side by sides pulling houses 16 ft max from here on out until we hit another cold snap.
Fishing has been very sporadic depth 15-20ft and 24 to 28 ft, hole hopping is key to getting decent quantity.
Gonna be a beautiful next 7 days!! Warmest end of January we have ever seen. Which is perfect for moving around, giving you the best opportunity at filling your buckets! Come on out and fish!

Access $20

Current Report 1-18-24

We have 12-13 inches of ice with 3 inches of snow everywhere we are fishing. So we will still be running all side by sides with pulling up to 16 ft houses out. Keep in mind lots of cracks still popping up with the flow of water there dumping out of Winnie every day. There is a good heave/crack starts in between little stony and Richard’s townsite and runs all the way up to north of sugar point.

Perch= 24 to 32 ft very sporadic bite but when you find them stick it out and the numbers of fish haven’t been to bad.

Walleyes= targeting the early morning or evening run on edges of the bars or humps the best depths 22ft to 28ft

Northerns = 18 to 25 ft

Access $20
Camping on shore $30 a night

01/11/2024

Currently have 10-11 inches of ice, the cracks we were dealing with last week been healed and froze for few days now so that a plus . Still have the staked trail out 2 miles to big island then guys are going were they want from there . Horseshoe bar, South Moses, Little Muskie
Allowing all machines up to crew cab Utv’s out with portables or up to 14 ft single axle houses no vehicles yet ! Hopefully next week
Fishing was alright last week you definitely gotta be willing to move around and hole hop for more numbers. We have been finding fish in that 18 ft all the way out to 30ft
Need to still be cautions and keep eyes open for any active cracks

Access - $20
On shore Camping - $30 a night

Opening Tomorrow Jan. 5th at 7 am

Today we put out steaks to mark a trail to big island, big/little muskie which is 2 miles out.

Yellow = is our steaked trail out to big island or those surrounding areas. If wanting to go to any of the structures on east side of crack- only cross the crack at the orange cones.
Green = another crack- only cross at orange cones

Allowing Atv’s - Snowmobiles - or single cab Utv’s with portables
Lots of parking on shore.
We can’t restrict where anyone goes once there on the ice, just be very cautious and check ice constantly if going away from where we are already.
Always make a track on gps of your entire route out to your spot just in case storm hits and you can’t see the marked areas to get back to shore.

If the lodge isn’t open when you arrive for access, there is drop box right below office sign by the Lodge.

ACCESS = $20

It’s time to go ice fishing!!!!
We will be open Friday Jan 5th, ATV’s and single cab side by sides allowed for travel with portables. No wheelhouses yet.
There is little to no snow on the lake, so bring ice cleats! There’s currently 8-9 inches of ice.
Before heading out we want you to be aware there are active moving cracks/heaves. Red lines are active/bad and green is a minor new crack that we know of so far.
One from judds to sugar point, another roughly from little stony point heading NW and connecting to the sugar point one, and standing at south Moses bar another heading SW and ENE.
We don’t advise crossing at this time as there are spots with little ice at the cracks.
Always be aware and checking ice as you go.

Access $20 a day
Over night camping on shore is $30 a night limited space.
If lodge isn’t open, there is a drop box on the post that says office at the lodge.

HELLO ALL!

Mother Nature has decided it’s not winter yet. We unfortunately will be closed, and the access is closed until further notice for the safety of our customers and family.

These warm temps and constant rain leaves ice conditions too unpredictable, we will update as the weather cools down. Looking like we won’t see the colder temps till after next weekend, forecasts can change of course but as of now that’s what it says.
Cabins- we will contact you directly if your dates are cancelled.
We hope everyone had a great holiday with family and friends. Let’s hope winter will officially arrive with the new year!!! 🥶

12/20/2023

We will be opening for the 2023-2024 ice season on Dec. 28th at 7am
Starting out with ATV and Snowmobile travel only.
We have checked ice out to 2 miles at big Muskie and little Muskie, big island , Se island also been to horseshoe bar and the east side of snaghole . We have 8 inches of ice in all these areas. There is no snow on the ice so bring your ice cleats. If you want to venture further just be safe and keep checking the ice.
There is a smaller heave with open crack starting in front of Richards townsite access that heads NW—— we don’t advise crossing it .

Can’t wait to see everyone!
Merry Christmas to you and your families!!

Great weather and great fishing made for a fun memorial weekend with walleyes for days !!
Mornings and evenings have been bringing the most keepers but the bite has been good all day long. 6-10 ft off shoreline or 25 to 30 on the bars. Jigs n shiners or jig n plastic.

PSA- this is a very mild mess in comparison to what has been being left. When using the customer fish cleaning room PLEASE clean up after yourself, fish and guts go in the buckets, not on the floor. If you get some on the floor there is a broom etc to clean up.
The last few years there has repeatedly been big messes left. Nobody wants to walk in to a mess to go clean their fish in. Let’s keep it clean this year please, so we don’t have to lock up the customer fish cleaning room.

03/22/2023

Our access is closed for season. If going out on public access snowmobile or track machines are the only ways to travel.
We hope everyone had a great winter. What a mess here at the end with all the snow but thank you to all our customers for a great season. Hopefully spring is around the snowbank, I mean corner- haha!

03/15/2023

Access is closed to public. Only open for cabin guests..!!!!
Current ice conditions travel is very tuff off roads or going cross country the last snow storms combine we got 10 - 12 inches of snow. Our road did not hold up good to all that snow. To our customers coming up bring snap ropes just in case 3/4 ton trucks are getting around better then 1/2 tons . We have a road going out to flats in front of resort down to Snaghole and Hunter hump for now if you would like to fish on Winnie . There's other options most cabins have been going pike bay or bowstring or little cutfoot. Geiger's on bowstring has a road as of 2 days ago. Fishing been pretty good on pike bay and bowstring. Winnie is still pretty slow we need a huge melt down to get rid of the snow.
