Khao Sok National Park in Southern Thailand is an amazing place. It is covered by the oldest evergreen rainforest in the world, huge limestone mountains shooting straight up in the air, and deep valleys. Our last night in Bangkok was with dinner at a former Michelin-starred eatery, featuring a 12-course tasting menu that reimagined classic Thai dishes with modern flair, accompanied by a superb wine pairing.

If you know the movie Bridge Over River Kwai, this is where this took place.
We road the “Death Railway.” This railway, built during WWII, earned its somber name due to the thousands of lives lost during its construction—men from England, America, Australia, and the Netherlands were forced into brutal slave labor.
We also explored the JEATH Museum, located on the site of one of the labor camps. The museum is a sobering but vital way to honor the memories of those who suffered and to remind us of the importance of peace and humanity.
After an overnight in the region, we woke up to go spend time with rescued elephants at a Sanctuary.
We loved our time at the Elephant Haven Thailand. We made them their breakfast, fed them and walked with them in the woods. They have 7 rescued ladies, varying in age from 35 -71.

It seems silly but I completely geek out on a good hotel room designs. It can be a non luxury line and as long as they have good lighting for me to work and simple technology features that are dummy proof then I am happy. I should moonlight as a Hotel secret shopper because I would be excellent at it. For me, I’m simply in a University town, enrolling my second child into college. I check into a courtyard Marriott and I am blown away by the excellent touches of the room 1st the Bluetooth feature that I can simply connect my phone to the TV and listen to my music while I am working 2nd the lighting. THANK YOU for having good lighting for seeing my face when I put make up on. Too many hotels i am in, including luxury brands 90% of the time do not think about good lighting for women in the bathroom for makeup. Bad lighting makes us look old and terrible. 3rd clean fresh colors.
