I've been using Shelac to finish my smaller projects since 2009 and I still havent found any other product that is quite as awesome! Did you know that shelac is a natural product? In it's most basic form, it's made with two ingredients: secretion from the female Iac bug and alcohol. For practical purposes, it's basically indestructable and your finished product will make you look like a rockstar! 👨‍🎤So long as you dont soak your project in vodka when your done!

It's also used as a food glaze and pharmaceutical glaze.... yum! 🤢

This wasn't recent but it's worth sharing as winter finally settles in and the inevitable wear and tear on our homes comes with it. Some friends of ours had a really bad afternoon with a local tree service, who I would say also had a horrible afternoon. The good news though, no one was hurt and the damage was really only cosmetic. A few broken studs and some bruised egos, all and all, it could have been so much worse. The point is, things will happen beyond our control how we handle those things is up to us. @ Bend, Oregon

We've been busy here in central Oregon! Haven't posted anything for a while but we're not photographers after all... Anywho, we have a 1910 craftsman that needs some love, so the first move is a bigger kitchen and bath. This house has been sitting on a CMU foundation since the 80's without issue but the engineer believed the prescribed building method here is to put a big ass footing under the existing structure. Now, we aren't concrete experts but when you hire someone who is and they dont show up for the gig, you just have to charge on! I'd say we nailed it, the bubble dont lie, guy!! @ Tumalo, Oregon
