We've had significant rain and cold temps lately that have dampened down the . The AQI has been good all week, the trails are perfect. There's a solid day of on the west side Patterson Mountain Trails (Hardesty, Lawler, Eula) and a second day on the East side of town (Heckletooth, Dead Mntn and Larison).
If you're into type 2 fun, the high country trails are all time, get after it.
If you are in Oakridge, stop by Cog Wild and The Middle Fork Bistro for tacos, crisp salads, draft beer and fresh squeezed cocktails. The AQI is good and the air is cool, it's gonna be a beautiful evening.

CLOSURE REDUCTION: Officials reduced the closure area for the BEDROCK FIRE on Aug. 31, 2023 due to successful firefighting efforts. Many popular sites and trails that were closed by the old Bedrock closure are now open, including the full length of the Alpine Trail ( #3315). Follow Bedrock Fire 2023 for latest information.

AQI is good and expected to stay good around Bend through the weekend. The AQI in Oakridge has been good to moderate all week and looking good into the weekend.
Rain and cool temps forecasted for the next few days will reduce smoke from fires across the west. The Bedrock Fire is already 80% contained! Woo hoo!
Mountain biking over Labor Day Weekend is gonna be great!
Loving the map overlays for realtime and forecasted air quality and smoke flows. We've been obsessively zooming in and out to watch the winds transport smoke across the PNW and BC. C'mon rain!

For high intermediate to advanced riders, up to 3k of climbing and 7k of descending with a shuttle.
