Located only two miles from the center of town you’ll find Bella Mattina, a remodeled country house resting in a 100 year old oak canopy with a beautiful view of Sleepy Creek Mountain. You’ll enjoy the ambiance of the Stone Room with wrap-around windows that seem to invite the outside in, skylights and a stone fireplace – another enjoyable spot for relaxing, playing games, reading and conversation

. Relax and experience the comfort and peace of the Three Seasons Porch, or enjoy the variety of views from the wrap-around deck – a favorite being the Garden View. Guests visiting Secondo can enjoy a hot whirlpool bath on cold winter nights, while visitors staying in Primo can snuggle by a warm fire in the privacy of their room. Outdoor enthusiasts can hike year round, snow shoe or cross country ski on the 10 acres of open fields and woods, a National Wildlife Certified habitat, that surround Bella Mattina. On any given night you’ll find Leo tending to a bonfire (his specialty) under the oaks and be welcomed to join us for conversation, relaxation and roasting marshmallows.
