Here’s another pic from the deepest spot at the Verrazano (Assateague) Bridge. Around 25-30ft. This was shot last December when we had 2 weeks of really clean water. Can’t wait to get back out there this winter.

We have had quite a week leading up to opening day today. Due to the constant erosion at the end of the Bayside peninsula, we moved our building away from the shoreline. We scrambled to get electricity rerouted, decks in place, the store merchandised and a massive cleanup from all of the above. We are happy to announce that we made it and all NPS sites will be open today. We hope to see you at our favorite place, Assateague Island.

We would like to congratulate the Five Tides GM Nick French on his musical endeavors. We met Nick through music, attending many of his band’s performances around our local area. Nick has been grinding away all winter and has an opportunity to travel this season with the Melody Trucks Band. He will be stepping down as the Five Tides GM but will still be involved at the restaurant in between gigs. It was a hard conversation but we fully support Nick’s dreams of being a full time musician. We will continue to support him, and if you haven’t seen him play you shouldn’t miss his next show.

That being said, we are looking for a new Five Tides GM for the upcoming season. It is paid year round, with a performance bonus of the end of the season. 5T is open from late April - early October. We have a few off season meetings but the schedule is very open and flexible from November through February. Kitchen experience with some management responsibilities is massively helpful. There is a ton of independence as the GM, we give you a wide berth to run the kitchen, manage the staff and create new menu items. If you or anyone you know may be interested in this opportunity please drop us a line.

Once again, we would like to wish Nick the absolute best as he takes the leap to follow his passion, just as we did when we started our company in 2010.

Thank you to our partners for always being supportive and for all the hard work they do for our local waterways. We couldn’t ask for a better partnership. Thank you to and , we pride ourselves on our positive working relationship with both of your fantastic operations. And most importantly you, the customer. Without your reviews, feedback, patronage and enthusiasm our mission would not be successful. Special shout-out to for absolutely smashing his first season as a GM, was on point all season long thanks to your long hours, hard work, vision and dedication.

We will be operating our online store all off season so if you missed out on grabbing any gear, we would be happy to send you some of our awesome custom apparel and gifts.

We are excited for a little down time to spend with our family and friends, but we are already working on some awesome new ideas for 2024. All sites will reopen mid April and we look forward to running it back.
