The Gas Water Heater Timer acts as a programmable setback controller which enables a user to program their water heater to automatically “set back” or lower the temperature stored within the tank for periods of time when hot water demand is low, and raise the temperature for periods of time when hot water demand is high. Rigorous testing, of a similar water heater timer, at a state of the art rese

arch and development facility by a major water heater manufacturer has been done to determine how much fuel can be saved. Water heaters using a timer significantly reduced fuel usage. The testing showed that fuel savings for customers who do not use a lot of hot water, or own vacation homes, can see considerable savings of up to 36%. Because the water heater fires fewer times, the “Gas Water Heater Timer” will also extend the life of your water heater.

Anyone can install this device in less than 5 minutes to your existing hot water heater. I purchased and installed for $89.95 and in 2 months saved more than the cost of the timer. I am only one person so more in the house, should save you more. Not that you need one for this to work, but I also installed 2 water circulators for the upstairs bathrooms, which took forever until hot water got to the shower or the sink. Now it is there in seconds instead of that long wait every morning waiting for the hot water. Water bill has gone down too, since I no longer have to let the water run. It was this company that mentioned the circulator. I am 63 and was able to install myself instead of paying plumber $395-$500 estimate to install.

Jeff,

thanks for the quick processing.
I think I sent a message from my gmail account (which I use little) asking for confirmation that it will be a "type 3" unit.
The one that fits the newer, smaller Honeywell thermostat.

I've use the older version for many, many years and was heartbroken when I replaced my water heater about 5 years ago and could no longer set the heat level back.
Your product is well worth the cost. I believe I got about a 3 or 4 month ROI

thanks again
James / MI
