Mark your calendars! Plein Air at the Arboretum is back on September 21st, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Blandy Experimental Farm
This FREE public festival will include food trucks, music, an occasion to mingle with plein air artists, and, of course, an opportunity to purchase and take home a one-of-a-kind piece of art of your favorite Blandy landscape. Kids can participate in their own Plein Air art at the three family art tables.
The Quick Draw competition is also open to the public. Set for Saturday, September 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., all skill levels are welcome. There is a $10 fee to enter the competition, and registration will take place from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. that day.

Historic Hike Through Blandy Experimental Farm, Sunday, September 22, 2024, 2:00pm-5:00pm
Enjoy the historic landscape of Clarke County as you learn about the area’s fascinating history. The hike will take place on the grounds of the Blandy Experimental Farm, Virginia’s state designated arboretum. Hear stories from the property’s storied past and discover the beauty of the environment through diverse botanical collections.
The hike will be guided by professional interpreters, with stops to highlight different stories and information about Blandy’s beautiful landscape. The total distance is approximately three miles of rolling terrain. Please make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, and bring plenty of water.
