REVIEW OF THE WEEK:

We are very thankful to Zachary from Spring Lake (Michigan) for the following great review of The Sundowner in Frankfort:

"The Sundowner was great for a winter getaway! Super comfortable, great for the dogs and skiing at Crystal Mountain was a quick 25 min drive. Easy to walk downtown to restaurants and bars. Would definitely do it again!"

The review is a great reminder that downtown Frankfort is less than 30 minutes from Crystal Mountain and that there are still things to do in downtown Frankfort in the winter!

🩷 Where pink ice, winter enchantment and her majesty, reign 👑 Ahhh yes….Point Betsie does seem to be the queen of pink ice, elegance and all around perfection during our winter months in Michigan (one of countless reasons she is one of my very favorites!). From roughly Manistee, north on Saturday, they received a very nice dumping of fresh, powder! ❄️

So with that….guess where I went yesterday? I gotta be that fresh snow like it’s nobodies business haha! 😂 And last evening was just beyond delightful - the filtered light that lit up the ice and perfectly textured snow, as the sun dropped from behind the moody clouds…..as perfection! Hot pink as hot pink can be! And the fresh snow dusting on the shoreline ice buildup offered lines and textures galore! And yet again I find myself saying these words: this was certainly one night I won’t forget! Happy new week, everybody! 💜

🧊 Ice glistens under a burning sky 🔥 Two of my favorite combinations of conditions, and this sky of wintery fire from 2020 is easily one of my top 5 moments to date 😍 I recently ran across this ‘oldie but goodie’ and thought it would be a nice splash of color to start out the new week! I hope everyone has a wonderful new week! 🩷

We are very thankful to the Wildwood Boys for the following great review of Malabar Cove in Gladstone:

"This was our groups third time staying at this cabin. a group of guys from work all come here to ice fish the bay. the location is perfect and the house is cozy and well equiped to deal with our stay. Great parking and access to the garage for our gear is a plus. Always look forward to coming here and is the highlight of our ice fishing season."

Malabar Cove is located on Little Bay de Noc in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, just north of Escanaba. As indicated in the review, Little Bay de Noc is a very popular location for ice fishing with lots of huge walleye getting caught every year!
