No joke!
This weekend's storm dumped a whopping 2 feet of fresh powder on the slopes, and there's more to come this Friday!
Today, however, is a picture-perfect bluebird day with highs in the upper 30s Fahrenheit (around -1°C).
The departing storm might sprinkle a few showers this morning, but skies will clear by afternoon. Today will be a bit warmer with highs in the lower 40s Fahrenheit (around 4°C). Expect northerly winds gusting 10-15 mph, with occasional stronger gusts up to 20 mph.
Tonight will be clear and cool with light winds, with lows dropping into the mid to lower 20s Fahrenheit (around -6°C to -12°C).
Get ready for a midweek warm-up! Highs will climb back into the mid-50s Fahrenheit (around 13°C) by Wednesday, while nights remain in the 20s Fahrenheit (around -6°C). But bundle up again – a cold winter storm is expected late Thursday into Friday, bringing fresh snowfall!
Here's what to expect:
Lighter snowfall compared to the last storm, but colder temperatures.
Snow levels could drop as low as 2,000-3,000 feet.
Accumulation of 3-6 inches of snow is possible.
Stay tuned for updates! We'll share more details as the forecast becomes clearer.
Travel Reminder: Winter weather can create hazardous driving conditions in the mountains. Plan ahead, check the latest forecast before you go, and carry tire chains if necessary.
