Evacuation orders have been lifted for some areas affected by the 🔥, but road closures remain! 🚧

⚠️ SR-18 is still closed from Kuffle Canyon to Big Bear Dam in both directions, and SR-330 is expected to stay closed for a few months due to significant damage. 🛑

The Line Fire in San Bernardino County, near Highland, continues to grow, covering over 23,700 acres with 5% containment. Firefighters have been focusing on building firebreaks, which include the black and purple-marked areas you mentioned, where active clearing operations are ongoing to prevent the spread of the fire. The fire’s most intense activity has been on its northern and eastern fronts, particularly in steep, rugged terrain that poses significant challenges for access. Crews are working to establish control lines, and air support is also being utilized to drop water on critical areas.

Evacuation orders remain in place for communities like Running Springs, Arrowbear Lake, and others. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms, which may bring relief or exacerbate fire conditions due to wind activity. The National Guard is assisting with helicopters and additional personnel

Effective immediately, an evacuation order is in place for parts of Big Bear. The affected area includes:

- From the dam east to Wildrose Lane
- South shoreline down to Bluff Lake Basin

The only available exit route is **Highway 18 toward Lucerne Valley**. Please stay safe, follow official guidelines, and evacuate as soon as possible. 🙏
