Cold and windy but we ran out to the patch reefs and boated a bunch of red grouper and mutton snapper and a handful of nice yellowtails. Nice having the kids reel some in and be as excited as the adults.

Had the pleasure of fishing all day with the Olson family during their visit from Wyoming. With weather conditions being far less than favorable, we found some hiding places to allow us to fish in comfort, and not sacrifice much in the quality or quantities of fish. Tons of fish in the boat, a wide variety of fish and sharks, and alot of fun wildlife sitings. It will be one of those fishing stories that stings for awhile, but we lost a real trophy. We got a big cuda to eat not once, not twice, but 3 times. Super shallow, crushing top water explosions, and then gone, back into the darkness he went. Those are the fish that keep us going back again and again.

This weekend was one for the books. Despite the wind, rain, and rough seas, we followed our plan best we could and it paid off with this 32.4lb bull dolphin. Lines in the water at 0700, and fish hit the bait at 0712. Sometimes it's on. We fished the rest of the day and hooked 2 smaller mahi, a sailfish, a couple Bonita and barracuda, and lost a wahoo. We celebrated at the scale with some well deserved ci**rs

Tackle and gear is all rigged and staged, ready to hit the water at 0530 tomorrow to get out to our fishing area. Lines in the water at 0700 for the VFW tournament.

Natalie and Russell took the opportunity to celebrate part of their anniversary week out on the boat doing a little fishing. We made some on the fly adjustments. It paid off with some nice fish in the cooler and a few others for pictures.

Nights at Bahia Honda have been very productive lately. We had some tax evasion happening on our last trip. We were able to leader the fish and allow it to swim away before becoming a chew toy.
