Our rustic, luxurious cabin is located deep in the heart of the Crazy Mountains in Southwest Montana. Our secluded Grizzly Cabin is in a mountain canyon about 30 minutes outside of Big Timber, Montana. Our guests enjoy 160 private, stream front acres which border Forest Service land. Big Timber Creek, a charming mountain stream which boasts enviable trout fishing, flows through the middle of these
acres, a stone's throw away from the cabin. Once this glacial, mountain stream flows over its roaring mountain waterfalls and turns into a gentle fishing stream, there is virtually no public access to it until it joins the Yellowstone River just outside of Big Timber. This makes it an untouched treasure trove of wild mountain trout, and untouched waters. Our guests enjoy 1.5 miles of exclusive, private access to Big Timber Creek. Our rustic, elegant cabin is 2 bedroom, 1 bath and boasts 840 square feet plus a spacious 160 square foot loft. The cabin features only the most rustic and elegant reclaimed barn wood furniture. These barn wood furnishings are custom made by local artists and bespeak rustic luxury. The master bedroom suite features a barn wood custom built wagon wheel king size bed. Romantic wall sconces and custom built standing lamps light this space. Because we know our guests relish luxury and comfort as much as we do, the master bedroom also features a two person sauna. The LED heated sauna features internal speakers through which you can listen to the radio or your favorite music on a mobile device. It's the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring this mountainous paradise. The master bedroom also features floor to ceiling windows with peaceful mountain canyon views. The second guest bedroom features a hand carved log bunk bed which comfortably sleeps three with the twin mattress on top and double mattress below. Both bedrooms have egress windows with beautiful views. The kitchen features hickory cabinets and stainless steel appliances. We have stocked the kitchen with the basic cooking essentials, and you'll love cooking with our rustic cookware, and serving a hot meal on our elegant dishware. The kitchen, dining nook, and living room face a floor to ceiling double picture window which faces the Crazy Mountains and reveals a breathtaking view up the canyon at the snow-capped mountain peaks. You'll enjoy absolute seclusion and privacy on our privately lease acreage, and will feel alone in the middle of one of God's most majestic mountain ranges. The living room features an expensive reclining leather couch. Once you sit down there you might never want to leave! You'll also enjoy our 50'' 4K Ultra-HDTV along with a modest movie library. Or you may decide to kick back and relax with a good book from our bookshelf beside the warm, stone mantle fireplace. And don't forget to take advantage of our game library which we'll keep on hand for our guests. Only a few miles further up the road from the cabin is Halfmoon Campground, which is the site of a forest service trail head. From this trail head, you can choose to either take an easy paced day hike to Big Timber Falls or to one of many hidden mountain lakes, or you can pick a challenging, multi-day backpacking trip into the Crazy Mountains wilderness. We highly recommend hiking the well-maintained trail to one of the many hidden mountain lakes and doing some fishing. Some boast of having caught in excess of 100 trout in a single day!!! When you check into our cabins, we'll leave you with more information about where to find the best fishing lakes and hiking trails. For hunters who book early enough, Montana Cabin Rentals can even connect you with private land hunting (fee access) on one of the oldest and largest ranches in the Crazy Mountains. This is limited availability on a first come, first serve basis, so be sure to book your vacation early! We hope you choose to stay with us. We the owners have traveled all over the world and stayed in some of the fanciest resorts anywhere. But this is our favorite mountain retreat and we know you'll love it as much as we do!
