As 2024 comes to a close, we would like to say thank you to everyone who visited the Amish Experience and took one of our tours. We will be closing for the winter off-season in January and February, and will reopen March 1, 2025. Reservations for 2025 experiences can be made on our website.

November brings some schedule changes for us. Because it gets dark earlier, we drop our 4:00pm farmlands tour, and we move the VIP (Visit-in-Person) tour to 2:30pm (instead of 5:00pm.) Also, the VIP (Visit-in-Person) tour departs on Saturdays only in November.

Nearly all Amish weddings will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays late October through at least March. As the Amish population continues to grow, the wedding season expands as well.

Amish Wedding Season is just around the corner. In a few short weeks you'll see the tell-tale signs of Amish couples tying the knot. At least on Tuesdays and Thursdays. One aspect of an Amish wedding... lots of food. Prepared by the family or the family's helpers. In this picture, we see four ovens. Would an Amish family really have four ranges? No. They'll borrow or rent additional cook stoves for the wedding, so that they can make the volume of food needed to satisfy a guest list of hundreds.
