CASC would like to thank everyone who participated and attended our winter trial this past weekend. Special thanks to our judge, Trevor Elcock, who graciously agreed to judge on a very short notice, knowing it would be an extremely cold day. Trevor did an outstanding job and went above and beyond providing informative knowledge to everyone. Additionally, he was extremely patient and helpful with our trial secretary as this was her first time acting as a trial secretary.

With that being said, I would like to give special thanks to my wife, Rebeca Herrera, for agreeing to help me and the club by acting as our trial secretary. She is new to the sport and had to learn a lot really fast.

Special thanks to all of our club members who all pitched in by bringing needed supplies / equipment and training hard to have a successful trial showing. We would like to thank Chris Ray AKA “Waffle Ray”, who not only was our track layer but also opened up the field on non-club days so that participates could get experience being on our performance field.

We would also like to thank Roger Herod who coordinated the group exercises and all of the volunteers who helped out in the group activities as well as Makenzee Short for providing us with a demo team for the BH routines.

Last but not least, we would like to thank all of the spectators who attended and provided a great trialing atmosphere.

We really enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new schutzhund enthusiast. We hope everyone had a good experience and hope to see you at our next trial.

Trial check-in times for Saturday, December 21, 2024:

All IGP's
Check-in at 6am
Tracks will be laid at 6:30 and tracking will begin at 7am

BH's
Check-in at 8am
Judge / handler meeting will begin directly after check-in
Obedience will begin at 9am

Please remember your USCA membership card and dog's scorebook

Field will be open on Friday, December 20th at 11am for anyone wishing to practice

Our Winter Trial is approaching soon (Dec 21-22). Please have entry form and payment submitted by Friday, Dec. 13th (cut-off date). We still have a few spots left but they are filling quickly. Winter Trial (Dec. 21-22, 2024) Info:

Tracking conditions (on-site)- natural grass with some undergrowth. Tracking pics were taken on Nov. 2 at approx 10 am. We do not expect much more growth due to temperatures getting colder.

Performance field- Permanent wooden blinds. Blinds are highly visible, painted yellow in a triangle pattern. Blinds run left to right.

We will be training most Friday, Saturday, and Sundays leading up to trial date (except Saturday Nov. 15th). Anyone who plans to enter trial is welcome to come and train with us to get familiar with fields. Just contact me and let me know that you will be coming out. As always, feel free to contact me with any questions.
