Happy April! 🌷

These two are officially back in school after Spring Break + an extra surprise weather day yesterday (that threw mama for a loop 🤪).

I had the best, lowkey week with them at home…lazy mornings, no schedule…just flying by the seat of our pants. It was exactly what my type A, planner-self needed after a busy Q1 at work!

We’re officially a Global Entry family! ✅🌎💨✈️

The hardest part of this entire process was simply finding a day where all four of us could attend this interview. And possibly mentally preparing myself to drive to Atlanta. 😆 We had a very short wait and our interview took a whopping 4 minutes! 🙌🏼

Quick reminder that Global Entry is now FREE for children as long as their parent/legal guardian is a member. Even more good news…AMEX cardholders receive a statement credit for one application fee when using your credit card to apply for GE.

If you’re traveling during the holidays, know this line can get LONG! After seeing the crowd earlier in the week, we decided to go at opening. We walked up shortly after they opened and were walking through the doors within 30 minutes! 🙌🏼

I was a little hesitant to book the 9/11 museum simply because it is so heavy, but they did great. There were moments of sadness and confusion about why anyone would commit such an unspeakable act of terror, but overall they seemed to take it in just as history instead of it wrecking their day like it has done mine in the past. 💔

I feel museums like these impact those of us who “lived through it” more than those who have just learned about it in school. We have vivid memories connected to the day that stir up so many emotions that they (thankfully) do not have…so if you’re planning a trip to NYC and aren’t sure whether or not to take your kids to this museum, I would 100% take them as long as they’re old enough to understand the significance of 9/11.

Back in August, I decided to take my 15 years of experience in the travel industry and put some letters behind it. After completing my CTA (Certified Travel Associate) training, I immediately started studying for my CTC (Certified Travel Counselor), which is a more advanced program designed for travel agency owners.

I set a goal to start 2025 with BOTH certifications, so needless to say, I am THRILLED to be holding this little piece of happiness on this second day of December. 🙌🏼

Now back to planning some fabulous vacations!
