I’m seeing lots of back to school posts in my feed, so it’s that time of year when summer transitions into back to school and then to fall.

Now is definitely the time to be booking those last-minute fall break vacations and your winter travel. However, it’s not too early to be planning for next summer already! I'm working on fall and summer for my own travel plans.

It’s National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day and if I need a cookie in the parks I’m hunting down the Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookie. If it’s good enough for everyone’s favorite super-powered baby, it’s good enough for me.

It’s available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Pixar Plaza on the East Coast and at Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure on the West Coast.

Welcome back to Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion which reopened today after an extended refurbishment. Bonus, it’s already Haunted Mansion Holiday Season!

My East Coast friends might be a little confused. Every fall Jack Skellington and his friends take over the Haunted Mansion for some eerie seasonal surprises. It’s such a fun overlay. That gingerbread house on the table in the ballroom scene? It’s real and the theme changes every year.

One thing to note, this year access is by Virtual Queue only as some refurbishment is still ongoing in that area of the park. Make sure to check the app for the latest info.

I planned a quick last-minute trip to Disney for my birthday. I’ve got 24 hours to check off as many of my favorites as I can.

We’re all checked in to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. I haven’t been since they finished the refurbishment. I’m thrilled they left the fans and lightened up the rooms. We are in a water view room close enough to pop over for my favorite banana bread from Riviera. I’ll let you know how many things I get checked off by tomorrow night!

It’s time to bid a fond (?) farewell today to Disney Genie+. Disney introduced this system as a replacement for Fastpass+ in October of 2021. There have been a LOT of opinions about this system and numerous changes since its introduction.

For better or for worse, today is the last day for this current iteration and a new system debuts tomorrow that will allow guests to plan more in advance. Genie will remain a free function of the Walt Disney World app, but the paid skip the line service will be called Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Lightning Lane Single Pass is the new name for Individual Lightning Lanes. Also, if you’re a visitor on the West Coast only the name is changing at Disneyland. Everything else remains the same.

I’ll be testing out the new Walt Disney World system this week so be sure you’re following along. Currently booked clients will receive updated guides to help you make the most of this new service.

Happy Monday! It's a very big week, Pascal (name that movie I sort of quoted). I'm celebrating a milestone birthday and at the last minute, I decided to spend it at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

I've got one day to hit all of my very favorites and I'm going to try out the new Lightning Lane system so I'm better equipped to help my clients walk through the process. Did someone say Dole Whip? You know I wouldn’t miss out on celebrating my favorite treat. It’s National Dole Whip Day and there’s never a bad time for Dole Whip. Pineapple is the original flavor, but there are tons of options. Did you know they’re all dairy free?! The Dole-made fruit flavors are also vegan, gluten free and lactose free.

There are lots of places and ways to enjoy Dole Soft Serve, but a few of my favorites are:
💛 In Hawaii! Visit the Dole Plantation for a cup topped with fresh fruit or float (my favorite).
💛 At sea! You can find Dole Whip on Disney Cruise Line.
💛 Disneyland! You can mobile order from the Tiki Juice Bar or stop by Tangaroa Terrace for a Dole Whip with a little extra shot of flavor. 😉
💛And of course, where it all started, Walt Disney World! Dole Whip has made its way from Aloha Isle to the Pineapple Lanai, Tamu Tami, Refreshment Port, and more.

Happy birthday to the Happiest Place on Earth! Walt Disney’s first big dream opened its gates on this day in 1955 and changed amusement parks forever.

It’s held on to so much of that original magic over the years. There are still opening day attractions in operation and characters twirling through the parks and hopping on attractions with guests. I grew up on the East Coast but there’s nothing else like a day at Disneyland and I can’t wait to send more families to experience the magic.

We took a mini vacation to Nashville recently. We headed back to my kids’ favorite resort, the . They love exploring the atriums!

During our last trip we missed out on experiencing SoundWaves and I’m so glad we went back! The resort has its own indoor/outdoor water attraction and you can book a package that includes your SoundWaves admission. We had the best time racing on the mat slides, hanging out in the wave pool, and floating along on the rapids river and the lazy river. At four acres, it’s big enough to have something for everyone but not so overwhelming that I worried about my kids getting lost. It was hard to get them to leave when it was time to check out.

The Ga***rd Opryland is in a great location for shopping, dining, and - of course - catching a show at the Grand Ole Opry. It’s also just a short 15-minute or so drive from all that Downtown Nashville has to offer.

Happy opening day to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World! I can’t wait to be “goin’ down the bayou” myself. Here are a few reminders for your next visit:

💚 Currently you can only access this attraction by joining the virtual queue at 7 AM or 1 PM OR by purchasing Genie+ and selecting this attraction for your Lightning Lane.

💚 If this is a must-do for your group, be sure to grab this Lightning Lane first.

💚 Starting July 24th you’ll need Lightning Lane Multi Pass in order to access the Lightning Lane. It will be a Group 1 attraction. As a reminder, you can preselect one Group 1 attraction and two Group 2 attractions.

Two of my current favorite character interactions are at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Kevin and (Talking) Dug. You’ll find them walking through the park chatting (or squawking) at guests. It very much feels like a Disneyland character experience. No lines, occasional stops to say hello.
