Saved by having spare parts today. The deadbolt locked and wouldn't unlock. Couldn't get door to open from inside or out and had to take it all apart. Broken piece inside so was going to have to go into town to hopefully find a replacement without having to buy a whole new deadbolt. Went thru some space parts I have and luckily found one that worked! Not what I wanted to do today but glad it worked out without a trip into town.

This year has been the best colors and longest lasting fall 🍂 since I've been here 6 years. On our walk tonight and there is still this gorgeous bright colors right in my neighborhood

Sad to report the devastating winds have taken down my tallest, most beautiful and oldest tree on the property this morning. I am truly heartbroken and will miss Ole Blue on my skyline for sure.

Made an owl nest from a Pinterest pin and got it installed into a tree near the pond. Probably too late this season for an owl to nest in it but something else might and then next year hoping an owl will take the nest over.

Back home and so grateful for having the driveway plowed so I could back right down like we always do. It's going to be a massive muddy mess for a while as this melts but it sure is pretty regardless. We'll get out tomorrow to check out the hood and check on some neighbors.

My driveway is clear so I can go home after work tomorrow! I only asked for them to dig enough room for me to get my car parked off the road and they went above and beyond to do my entire driveway and shoveled my porch and boxwell step! Super excited to get home tomorrow and see this snow in person!

Screenshots of the driveway cam as the big melt down started happening today. I thought I might be seeing part of the snowblower appear but alas it's only the top of my hand railing off of the porch which is at least 5 feet from the ground! Plan right now is to head up Weds night after work IF the plow person comes tomorrow like he says he would to dig the 5+ foot snow berm from my driveway so I can at least get my car in off the road when I get there. Went to home Depot and bought another shovel since mine is buried by the front porch and I need to make a path from the car to the house.
He was standing on the road where only one lane has been plowed through and asked "but where is your house?!" I had to describe how close it actually was to where he was standing because he couldn't see it with all of the drifts! Wish me luck 🍀 Weds night please and if any of my neighbors that I haven't already reached out to need anything from the store please let me know so I can bring it up with me Weds night.

I often wonder if anyone else driving towards or in these incredible mountains truly appreciates them as much as I do. I catch myself saying out loud often "damn this is a beautiful place I get to live".

This little lady has stolen my ❤️ from day 1 and after several days at work where she has been on her best behavior and multiple meetings with the grandkids to make sure they are a good fit Rosie has decided to adopt me 😁😍🐾

I found this at Works of Wyoming (WOW) when we were stuck in Laramie last month. Got a simple frame for it and hung it right next to the front door. It just fits the theme of my property perfectly with the moose kissing the ground squirrel. 🫎 🐿️ 😘

Exciting morning already around here! Woke up to green tagged bull moose 🫎 at the pond. He kept looking downhill hearing something and all the sudden he bolted off and mama and the twins came up to the pond. Then sitting out here looking through their pics and a bear 🐻 popped up near the pond too and quickly took off after I stood up to try to get his picture.
