Lodging for the modern explorer on 50 mountainside acres in Black Mountain, and 30 minutes from AVL

Thank you to all of our friends, family, and future and past Airbnb guests who’ve expressed their concern for our well being and properties. It’s amazing to see all the people who show up and are willing to help when catastrophe hits.
While our family is safe and our primary residence sustained light damage, unfortunately, Helene left extensive damage to the road network leading to our land and rental properties in Black Mountain. The roads will be inaccessible by vehicle for some time and by the end of the week we will have had the opportunity to hike in to asses the specific damage to our land and buildings. We are working with Airbnb to issue full refunds to all future guest bookings through the end of the year.
