Jessica Thienes of Lyric Arts delivered an inspiring presentation, Art and Impact: The Vital Role of Community Arts and Nonprofits, at today’s Sunrise program. 🎭✨ She shared how the arts drive socio-economic development and the importance of community involvement in supporting nonprofit initiatives, including how these organizations enrich our cultural landscape while creating tangible benefits for local businesses and individuals. It was a powerful reminder of the profound connections between the arts, community engagement, and overall well-being. But wait, there was more! The festive attire by so many attendees had us all laughing and in good spirits; co-chairs Jeremy and Sara awarded a variety of special prizes; and Route 47 once again kept us fed, caffeinated, and even sheltered from the sun with a ‘human shade’ (IYKYK). Thanks to all who helped us end the year on such an amazing note!!!

"Humanize Before You Monetize," was a celebration of authenticity, growth, and the unique value each individual brings to the table. Attendees gathered with a shared goal: to transform their interactions from average to amazing and to embrace the extraordinary potential in every connection.

The keynote address highlighted the importance of creating moments where people feel truly valued, seen, and heard. It underscored that connections aren’t just casual exchanges but opportunities to leave others feeling stronger, more nourished, and uplifted. Examples ranged from a simple coffee chat with a friend to profound shared experiences like working similar jobs while growing up.

Participants were reminded that they are far from average—they are amazing, capable of leaving electrifying impressions through intentional, meaningful interactions. Workshops and interactive activities gave attendees hands-on opportunities to explore creative ways to connect, share their unique gifts, and amplify the impact of their relationships.

By the end of the event, participants walked away not only with practical strategies but also with a renewed sense of confidence and purpose. The message was clear: WE ARE ALL AMAZING!

Our December 1st Friday Sunrise was a hit, featuring "Remember the Room: How to Remember Everyone at an Event" with the fantastic Bob Miller from HighPower Data Solutions. This lively session was packed with game-changing memory hacks to help attendees nail names and faces like pros, taking their networking and social game to the next level. Bob (the Bobber) shared fun and practical tips, from spotting standout traits in people to turning their names into quirky mental objects and linking them to unique characteristics.

Attendees were all in, creating memorable associations like John the African Buffalo, Rod the Realtor (aka Rod the Bod), Cool Dudes Techie Dudes, Kat as in Meow, Patti (Peasy), and Fancy Nancy. Plus, we celebrated in style with two gift card winners, Jenny Cedarblade of Grand Exteriors for her festive sweater and Peter Wieczork of Northwest Passage High School simply for showing up!
