Howdy everyone! It's been a productive winter here at the ranch with lots of surprises for when you arrive. I'll be updating the website in the next month or two so you can get an idea however you might just want to let it be a surprise. 😀

One of the things we've done is organize the games by first letter and also separated out the BGG Top 100. This was with the awesome support from and . Thank you so much!

I've been thinking of how the games should be labeled. In the past they were labeled by BGG weight and that isn't that necessary as they will be sorted by first letter. The question is what to include on the tag. Obviously I was thinking the first letter to help as some games are a little ambiguous such as 'Warhammer: Horus Heresy' which we decided to be in the H category as no one says, or even knows the official name. For the BGG Top 100 they will be labeled that way so you know what shelves those go on.

After that we have lots of options such as weight, rating, best player count, a QR code to take you straight to the BGG page etc. I'd love to have all of this info on there however it all changes, at least for a time before it settles in after a good 6 months. I've been thinking of not labeling games until after they are about a year old and keeping them in a separate section. The downside to this is that I think many will get put back on the alphabetized shelves and then it might be hard to find them back. I could do it yearly and then do an inventory and find them which wouldn't be bad.

I wanted to get your thoughts on what you would like to see when you come here and any ideas you have that would make it better for all the guests. Maybe short and sweet with just the letter, a link to BGG or add lots of stuff. I'm also trying not to relabel games often. Labels tend not to stick that well and I usually cover them with tape and I'm a bit worried of multiple layers, but maybe that's not a worry I should entertain.

We have upped our Magic The Gathering game at the ranch by adding 45 new Commander's Quarters budget decks. We also now feature over 50 battle decks from Card Kingdom . These decks are fun and feature so many great mechanisms from across Magic.
