Shoresh is a caring preschool that uses a play-based program. We welcome children of all backgrounds. Shoresh means "roots" in Hebrew.

If the roots are healthy, the child will grow and flourish. We encourage this growth by feeding children's imaginations and giving them opportunities every day to explore the world around them. Our curricula, carefully planned according to age group, include language arts, math, science, social sciences, small and gross motor skills practice, art, music, physical education and so much more. wish holidays are part of our curricula and core Jewish values, like treating others with kindness and taking care of our planet, are evident in everything we do. Every Friday we celebrate Shabbat together with song and simple prayer. Shoresh Preschool is simply the best place for your child.

Liz Gyde is a nationally certified Personal Trainer (NASM) and Group Fitness Instructor (AFAA). Additionally, she holds certificates in Les Mills Body Pump and Les Mills Body Combat. She is also certified in Senior and Children’s fitness. Liz has almost a decade of experience in the fitness industry, as well as a black belt in Tang Soo Do.

Join Liz for an hour of kickboxing in a cardio-focused, martial arts-inspired workout; no punching bags required! The choreography is designed (and backed by science) to burn up to 570 calories. You’ll even get some great shoulder and core training! ALL LEVELS are welcome. This class can be formatted to fit any and all bodies, from beginner to advanced. Liz is well-versed in differentiated teaching methods.

Bring your kids to Anne Monsees at the same time for an amazing yoga experience!

A little more about Anne…

Anne Monsees (Sannyasi Samatamurti) is a Satyananda Yoga Instructor and Special Education Teacher from New Jersey, USA. She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from University of Vermont and Special Education Endorsement from Bloomfield College. She resided at Bihar School of Yoga, Ganga Darshan from 2006-2009, and at Rikhiapeeth from 2012-2015. In 2010 Samatamurti competed the Satyananda

Teacher Training & Diploma Course in Australia. She started teaching yoga full time for Newark Yoga Movement in 2015 and specializes in teaching yoga in schools to children with special and behavioral needs. In August 2017 Samata became the board secretary for the Yoga Academy of North American and assisted on the March 2018 Satyananda Yoga Teacher Training 2 at the Atma Center, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Morah Alisha and Morah Janeth’s class danced with their tiny torahs. We can all dance with the real thing on Thursday at 7:00 pm at TNT!

Morah Alisha and Morah Janeth’s class decorated the sukkah this morning and then enjoyed a snack in the beautiful autumn air. Morah Cynthia and Morah Roxanne’s class joined for some singing.
