Great morning trip with to the Fisherman's Flea market sponsored by Saltwater Anglers of Bergen County. I will be highlighting our Auction Items at the Empire State Outdoor Sportsmen's Show from now until February 28. Today I Thank Kris Lechman, a professional in-shore striped bass guide and certified boat Captain, for a “Day on the Water” good for one or two anglers. Kris will take you out in New York Harbor where the typical catch is up to 60 hard fighting stripers per day! You can get a classroom preview as Kris will be a knowledgeable speaker at the Empire State Outdoor Show. Attend our Auction on March 1 at 12 noon at the Hog Tank Seminar Area. 100% of all proceeds go to the Tunnel to Towers and the Kip Bay Boys and Girls Club of America organizations. Remember, your winning bid is not a purchase, but a donation and good for a tax write to the full extent allowed by law.

Show season is right around the corner, and the Empire State Outdoors Sportsman show is going to be great this year. I've been going to this outdoor show at Rockland County Community College for the last 40 years. I probably still have worms from the Worm Bar 40 years ago.
I'll be doing a few seminars on catching inshore and back bay stripers.

Awesome day on the water with Danny and Ryer! The winter showed his face, 15° this morning, couldn't get the rod lockers open... the end of the day was 50°, fishing in a long sleeve t-shirt. The morning started with the bite on fire, the tide was ripping, as the tide slowed down so did the bite. Didn't get bit for 2 hours straight and then BAM! Countless doubleheaders, fish up to 36 in, over 50 fish in the boat. Even took a 5-minute break to the truck, then went back for another hour of action.

So I've been using a Kastking Spartacus 2 reels for my A-rig setup and my jig rod. I'm definitely impressed with it for an inexpensive reel. I picked up a pair of Royal Legens 2 reels, and I can't really tell any difference between the two. Has anyone used both?
