This year we have seen a large amount of wildlife at JuBelas Cabin, particularity bears. We have a big male bear that comes by every so often but have now seen a mama and her set of 3 cubs on several occasions. We will be latching our trash bin to avoid this from the future, but it sure is a site to see.

As a PSA, never approach bears under any circumstance.

This past weekend our cabin and parts of the Southern Appalachian region experienced a Hoars Frost… meaning a frozen condensation on objects. This created a beautiful frost coating over all trees and the ground, which unfortunately lasted less than a day. I’ve attached a few pics to demonstrate the beauty of this natural event

As we approach the Fall season, wanted to share the news that we now have an electric vehicle charger and a Generac generator available at the cabin. The EV charger is in demand and Blue Ridge and the surrounding areas do not offer any public charging stations.

The Generac generator will immediately auto-switch in the event of a power failure. The is a great addition as any weather event has the potential to knock out power for hours or days. Therefore, we have mitigated that risk.

I have several dates that are blocked out and available so contact us if interested in availability and rates.

We do require a 3-day minimum unless sandwiched between 2 existing bookings.

As we start to approach the Fall season, wanted to share a couple of upgrades scheduled for installation by early September. Because power is critical for obvious reasons, we are installing an auto-switch Generac generator to ensure our guests are not inconvenienced during power outages, which are common during inclement weather.

We will also have a car charger with adaptors to fit all electric vehicle models available to our guests. Blue Ridge currently has no public charging stations.

We continue to make improvements to our cabin to meet the needs and expectations of our guests.
