Who else has Wicked fever? 🙋🏻‍♀️ I know this isn’t exactly travel related (well it is a little, I’ll get to it), but since I still have to wait until Saturday to see the movie 😱 I thought I’d take a little walk down memory lane and share a bit about me.
The 🌈Wizard of Oz and 💚Wicked have a special place in my and my family’s hearts.
I have been eagerly wishing for a screen adaptation since I first saw Wicked in Chicago almost 20 years ago (😅 showing my age here). Since then I have been fortunate enough to see it a few times over the years. Most recently (ish) with my Mom and sisters in St. Louis while I was pregnant with Riley.
But before Wicked was ever a thing, I loved the Wizard of Oz and all of its Technicolor glory. So much so that Riley’s nursery and 1st birthday were Wizard of Oz themed 😄, and I’m just a little excited that I’ll finally be able to share these stories with her.
I hope she loves it as much as I do because the fun doesn’t stop at the movies. We will be visiting Wicked: The Experience on our next trip to Universal Orlando and then counting down to Wicked Part 2! (See I tied in a bit of travel there 😉)
