Day 5: Exploring the old city and making our own chocolate

So today was off the books because I had plans on touring an indigenous tribe but with the travel time at 5hrs, I figured we'd save that for when they get a tad older.

Besides, chocolate is always the answer right.

We learned, saw and made our own Panamanian chocolate. We were able to do some tastings as well with other types of chocolate!

I fell in love with the old city when we first visited earlier this week and had to come back to explore more. Ate lunch at a Panamanian restaurant, spoke a lil Spanish, found another icecream spot, got stuck in Panamanian traffic and played "Go fish", and finished the night at the pool again 😅

Day 4: Lake Gutan Boat Tour to Monkey Island and Jungle Hike

This tour started before the sun came up but I loved every minute of it. AND NO RAIN!

We were able to see 3 different types or monkey species, the lizards that run on water, birds, and some other animals. And we ate breakfast with the locals 🥰

I almost was attacked by an iguana but that's a story for a different day, that's what I get for taking the kids off the beaten path 🤣

Even came back to the resort and took a nap because I was beat!

Played a few resort games and just enjoyed the rest of our evening eating and relaxing 😌

Day 3: City Tour in a 1971 Vehicle
It's only 2 in Panama

We were able to see the old city, new city, an island behind the canal and the neighboring city beside our resort.

Even though we had a little rain the 1st 30 mins of the tour, the rest was amazing (we stopped for icecream). And the sun popped out for the girls to enjoy the pool (yet again)

And at dinner we tried different desserts which we (them) were all surprised at the new flavors we (them) liked. Not me though....I'm 39, I knew I wasn't gonna like the ones I already don't like 🤣
