Well, I went on a hiking trip with my ex-husband. We’ve prioritized remaining friends, although I must admit I was blown away when he was interested in joining me on a trip like this.

To his credit he didn’t complain and watching him conquer some fears and challenging hikes was just as fun as leading my ladies hiking trips. The great outdoors has healing properties for your soul, and if you haven’t tried it yet, I encourage you to do so in 2025.

Climbing mountains makes me feel alive. Especially the hard ones. Bear Mountain is most certainly a challenging hike in Sedona. Thanks to for the many reels and recommendations. Roughly 5 miles round trip with just under 2,000 ft of elevation gain with some scrambling.

The irony that this highly photographed spot is pretty much man-made…I’m 99% sure those well-placed trees didn’t just grow there. Solid switchbacks though that will get your heart pumping and up that daily step count.

This was a full day up just before sunrise to hike The Watchman Trail in Zion. It’s an extremely moderate 3.1 miles with great views. Next, I walked a bit of the bridges along the Pa’rus Trail that most people bike. After that was the .9 mile hike to Canyon Overlook before heading out to Bryce. Then I hiked the short Navajo Loop and drove to all the overlooks.

I love solo travel because of the stories and connections. You never know who you might meet…even a composer. I ended up as what could have been an odd mix in a guided tour with a couple. It most certainly wasn’t and thank you and Dan for embracing me. I couldn’t pass up the offer for the piggyback pic for the gram 🤣🤣🤣. I hope we cross paths again!

Birthing Cave Hike ✅

Sometimes it’s just fun to play outside.

Sure did kill it. 5 weeks from the new year and we found a way to feel like an athlete again. Thanks for the constant taunting @lukequinn1 couldn’t do it without you. … For real though, people ask me how I did it and I always tell them I just followed the plan. If you really want to make a change in 2025 find yourself a trainer that you love. You won’t be able to replicate it on your own. If you’re in FTL, I’ve got a guy for you 😉.

This was a great day. Took the boat across Jenny Lake, hiked the 9 mile Cascade Canyon, saw a moose 🫎, had epic girl talk, cried through some grief. I’m pretty sure Jimmy Valvano would agree.

Lindsay was a late addition to our group and she fit right in. Her surprise one-liners got us all laughing and I personally loved seeing her joy throughout the trip. … When this ranger pointed out her smile it was just more validation that the beauty of nature with a good group of girlfriends is good for the soul. @jeffplus4
