Travel Update: REAL ID Deadline is Approaching! ✈️
Starting May 7, 2025, you'll need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or ID to pass through airport security for domestic flights in the U.S.
🔑 How to Know if Your ID is REAL ID-Compliant:
✅ Look for a star in the upper corner of your card.
❌ IDs with phrases like “federal limits apply” or “not for federal identification” are not compliant.
If you don’t have a REAL ID by the deadline, you can still travel using other accepted IDs:
📘 U.S. Passport or Passport Card
🌍 Global Entry or Trusted Traveler Card
📄 Permanent Resident Card
🪪 Tribal Nation ID
💡 Why is this important? The REAL ID ensures standardized, secure identification across the U.S. It’s been a long time coming, and the TSA will strictly enforce this starting May 2025.
