What a fun afternoon, gliding through the trees on the alpine coaster. The whole crew had a blast seeing who could truly use no brake! (Not me!) Definitely a great year round activity and good break from snow sports.

What a beautiful fall day to explore! I love discovering the gems that are hidden all around. The trailhead is no more than an 8-car off road, pull off (and only 5 minutes from the house!)... but made for a day of beauty and feeling of accomplishment.

Hike #2: Green K**b Trail. 2.3 miles of moderate hiking through the woods. This one was fun! With a number of stream crossings, traversing over/under fallen trees, 500-ish feet of elevation change, and a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain at the end.
