What’s your favorite part of vacation? The anticipation when planning? The shared experiences while there? Or the “remember whens” long after you’re home? I love it all but the remember whens really pull at my heartstrings. 🤍 One of our most talked about memories popped up in “on this day” memories today. My girls love retelling the story of the time boy after boy tried getting across the rope and fell in. Arley was the first one (and a girl at that) to make it across the rope that day. I wish I would have kept recording because when she climbed back up to go again she was met with the sweetest cheering squad. When the girls retell this story (usually her little sister), Arley’s face lights up and she’s grinning ear to ear. Memories like this is what keeps me going back. 🤍✨
At the top of my to see list last weekend- Journey of Water, inspired by Moana, and it did not disappoint. 🌿💧 Here you’ll stroll along a self-guided exploration trail where you can play with water as it travels from the sky to the oceans and back again. Enjoy magical encounters with water and discover its playful personality… just as Moana did on her heroic voyage. You can choose the wet or stay dry path depending on your preference so it can be a beautiful, calm stroll to start your day or a fun, splash filled way to cool off- you get to decide! One thing worth noting- we found out after rope dropping caffeine for the day 😅- no food or beverages are allowed so you’ll need to finish those before or leave them in the stroller. I really enjoyed this new, interactive path & will definitely visit again.
I’m In the month of love, the Just So Magical Vacations team is celebrating all things we love about Disney Destinations. This week we are sharing FOODS we love and for me, anything Animal Kingdom Lodge or Animal Kingdom Park goes on the list. There are so many amazing options to choose from. Exploring Animal Kingdom’s culinary delights- Yak & Yeti is one not to miss! Transported to another world with their Pan-Asian cuisine, I couldn’t resist sharing the Dragon Bowl – a delicious feast perfect for two. The journey to Yak & Yeti unfolds in the Himalayan foothills, a convergence of cultures with Mount Everest on the horizon. Imagine traders, pilgrims, and armies traversing this quaint village en route to India, weaving through China and Southeast Asia. 🌏 It’s a culinary experience not to miss! With so many delicious options to choose from at Animal Kingdom, what’s on your “to eat” list?
Definitely not dreaming about that. 😎
2023
✨ Just a few of our magical moments from 2023. ✨ What Magic did the year bring you? ✨
J’s favorite memory of 2023
Me (expecting to hear about some of the amazing things the kids got to experience this year): “What was your favorite memory from 2023?”
J: “When we got off that ship and they gave us cool little towels to cool off.”
😆🤣😅
Disney makes the details magical. 😅✨
It’s that time of year when Disney fans everywhere look to the skies and say, “meh.” 😉 Wishing you a magical day of celebrating (& maybe some fireworks too)! Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸
The views. The treats. The beverages. The pool time… just a view of the best Disney Cruise spring break things I’m missing this week. 🤍✨🚢
You may think Savi’s Workshop is full of old junk but you’d be wrong, some of it is new junk! If building a light saber is on your bucket list, be sure to stop by Savi’s (reservations recommended). You’ll check in outside where you’ll get to choose the style you’d like to make. (B chose peace & justice.) They will give you credentials to get inside, marking your choice. Once in the workshop you’ll be given choices to build your hilt and then you’ll choose your kyber crystal. (B chose violet for perseverance, determination, mental strength, & kindheartedness.) The “gatherers” will help you with each step so even the young jedis can participate but you’ll want to remind them that light sabers should be handled with care. The force is strong with this experience. 🔫🌌 Would you try it?!
