This is me (25 years ago...i look so young and i am 42 years in this photo) with Veronique Drouhin of Domaine Drouhin, tasting wine in their cellars underneath the city of Beaune in September 1999. There was so much history in that cellar and we had a fantastic tasting that I still remember to this day (the Chambole-Musingy was clearly my favorite..like drinking liquid flowers). It was this trip to Burgundy, France in September 1999 with a friend of mine, that transformed my life. My dream of planting a vineyard and making wine was born on this trip and 25 years later, I am still at it. It has not been a straight line and there have been many ups and downs ( more to come I am sure), but my passion for this thing called wine, burns as bright today as it did when that dream was crystalized. Dreams can and do come true, so never stop dreaming!
