I’m excited and happy that so many of you are anxious to sign up for The VillageMercantile retreat in January!!!!!!!! Dates are January 9-12 or 13-16. At this time, I am only accepting $50 nonrefundable deposits. Actual registration will begin in late September, and will coincide with the Run Run Rudolph Shop Hop, September 26-28. All of the details will be available at that time. Deposits and registration fees will be accepted by check or cash. Hope you can join us!!!!!

It’s sooooo fun to see your quilts being finished, especially those from BOM’s and shop hops. These 2 from Teresa McDurmon are now just waiting for binding. She did a fabulous job on both, and even included a fabulous block on the back of her shop hop quilt. The Black and white and mint green quilt was our setting pattern from our Southern Indiana Shop Hop a couple of years ago. The other brightly colored quilt was our BOM from a couple of years ago , Toes in the Sand by Jaybird Quilts in Tula fabrics. Both are beautifully done, Teresa!!!

Robin brought a sweet ‘grandma’ quilt to share with us today. Lots of ‘I Spy’ fabrics, colors, and shapes to create teachable moments. So after she made the top, she quilted the shapes as her quilting designs!! So clever, and a definite conversation starter as grands and/or great grands come along. I love it!!!

Creative solution!! Carol Fark loved the Iconic 2 pattern we made from the Old Glory line of fabric, but we had no more kits available. She got a different layer cake and coordinating fabrics to create this beauty!! This would be a great pattern to use some scraps from your stash too!! And check out her label. Well done, Carol!!! Thanks for sharing.

Tomorrow begins our Southern Indiana Shop Hop, this year themed Home Sweet Home. It runs Wednesday-Friday 9-6 and Saturday 9-4. 10 shops across southern Indiana are participating this year. Here is our quilt for this year. It measures 72 x 72. Hope you can come - passports are $7 and you receive discounts, comebacks coupons, and chances to win some great prizes at each shop you visit.

This is a new, fantastic notion (of sorts) we’ve gotten in. This phone holder is so convenient, clise to your sewing area, cooking area, office area, etc.
holds your phone upright, very stable, AND you can have the charger attached too. 4 colors- come check these out. I listen to books on audible while I sew, and this little thing is so handy.

This is such a darling quilt! Large enough. (80 1/2” x 85 1/2”) to cover the top of your mattress. This guy will give you a ‘hug’ every night!!! Would be a super stash buster too!! Let us know if you’d like to have us make a kit for you!
